STMicroelectronics STM32 Java Development Kits are a complete platform to evaluate the development of embedded applications in Java for the STM32 microcontrollers. Each kit is composed of an evaluation board and a DVD ROM which contains an evaluation version of the STM32Java software development kit based on MicroEJ®. MicroEJ® is based on the Eclipse™ IDE and provides extended features for using Java in embedded systems to design and deploy embedded Java applications, simulate embedded Java applications on PCs and perform automated tests. The STM32-JAVA MicroEJ Java Development Kit helps engineers take advantage of the benefits of object-oriented programming in Java to develop general purpose STM32 applications, in particular, applications with a smartphone-like look and feel graphical user interface (GUI) with STM32Java.

STM3220G-JAVA STM32 F2 Java Development Kit

STMicroelectronics STM3220G-JAVA STM32 F2 Java Development Kit is a complete platform to evaluate the development of embedded applications in Java for the STM32 F2 series microcontrollers. The kit is composed of the STM3220G-EVAL evaluation board and a DVD ROM which contains an evaluation version of the STM32Java software development kit based on MicroEJ®. MicroEJ® is based on the Eclipse™ IDE and provides extended features for using Java in embedded systems to design and deploy embedded Java applications, simulate embedded Java applications on PCs and perform automated tests. The main limitations of the evaluation version are 3 months of use from the first launch and 1 hour of runtime. A Java demo is programmed in the STM32F207IGH6 microcontroller on the evaluation board.

STMicroelectronics STM32-JAVA STM32 MicroEJ Java Development Kit helps engineers take advantage of the benefits of object-oriented programming in Java to develop general purpose STM32 applications, in particular, applications with a smartphone-like look and feel graphical user interface (GUI) with STM32Java. All of the well known advantages of the Java design concepts are available: interface versus implementation, inheritance and composition, polymorphism, garbage collector (GC), multi-tasking, etc. Software productivity, agility, scalability and security are improved compared to traditional developments in C/C++ code. Applications can mix C code (legacy control/command code for example) with code developed in Java. STM32Java provides efficient mechanisms to interface the 2 worlds, Simple Native Interface to call C functions from Java code and Shielded Plug to exchange data between the 2 worlds. STM32Java provides everything required to easily and very quickly develop feature-rich GUIs, relying on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) triad, the best known solution to designing flexible and easy to maintain GUIs.
