Freescale's Power Drivers are a family of intelligent high side eXtreme switches for industrial applications. The MC36XSD are designed for 36V systems and offers devices with current capability ranging from one to 12A DC that are fully compatible in footprint and software within the PQFN sub family. The MC12XSC are eXtreme switch devices that are SPI-controlled smart high side switches for Industrial applications, providing diagnostics, as well as comprehensive fault management and control of the loads without complex software. The MC12XSF is an eXtreme switch product that is the latest achievement in DC motors and industrial lighting drivers. They belong to an expanding family to control and diagnose various types of loads, such as incandescent bulbs or light emitting diodes (LEDs), with enhanced precision.

Freescale's MC36XSD 36V Multi-purpose Industrial Low RDSON Intelligent eXtreme Switch is a family of intelligent, dual high side eXtreme switches for 36V systems offers devices with current capability ranging from one to 12A DC that are fully compatible in footprint and software within the PQFN sub family. Each output can be programmed to be used for any kind of loads, including lamps, LEDs, motors or solenoids. This allows customers to design a flexible module which can become specific and optimized for a given application through software. Freescale's 36V eXtreme switch solution provides robust design, intelligence and safety needed for industrial applications up to 36V supply voltage. With increased integration, the switch drives lighter-weight, smaller systems and a lower component count.

Freescale's MC12XSC 12V External Industrial Lighting Multi-channel eXtreme Switch devices are SPI-controlled smart high side switches for Industrial applications, providing diagnostics, as well as comprehensive fault management and control of the loads without complex software. The devices use a programmable multi-step latched overcurrent shutdown protection. This technique is preferable to the current limit method because it minimizes the thermal stress within the device during an overload condition, greatly reducing the junction temperature rise and vastly improving reliability. This family is packaged in a SOICW-EP package. Its low RDS(on) and large integration enable savings in terms of module size, power dissipation and total system cost.
