ON Semiconductor NCL30000 LED Driver

The ON Semiconductor NCL30000 PFC dimmable LED driver, recipient of the Best Application Award from EEPW, is a switch mode power supply controller intended for low to medium power single stage power factor corrected LED drivers. The ON Semiconductor NCL30000 is designed to operate in critical conduction mode and is suitable for flyback and buck topologies. This ON Semiconductor PFC dimmable LED driver features a programmable on time limiter, zero current detect sense block, gate driver, and trans-conductance error amplifier as well as PWM control circuitry and protection functions required to implement a critical conduction mode switch mode power supply. The NCL30000 features low startup current, enabling fast, low loss charging of the VCC capacitor. This device is designed for use in LED driver power supplies, LED-based down lights, and more.
