AC LED Lighting Evaluation Board
ON Semiconductor's CCRACGEVB AC LED Lighting Evaluation Board allows engineers to evaluate six different topologies as they approach this difficult balancing act. This evaluation board is designed for the NSIC family of CCR devices. The CCR is based on Self-Biased Transistor (SBT) technology and regulates current over a wide voltage range. The linear constant current regulator is a simple, economical and robust device designed to provide a cost-effective solution for regulating current in LEDs (similar to Constant Current Diode, CCD). It is designed with a negative temperature coefficient to protect LEDs from thermal runaway at extreme voltages and currents. The CCRACGEVB has an input voltage range of 12 VAC to 250 VAC and showcases the NSIC20xBT3G series of 120 V CCRs and the NSI50150 (150 – 350 mA Adjustable) CCR.
