Murata OKLP Power Block Non-Isolated DC-DC Converters

Murata Power Solutions OKLP range of Power Block Non-Isolated DC-DC converters sit between a discrete Point-of-Load (PoL) design and that of a complete non-isolated buck converter module. The Power Block is essentially a non-isolated buck converter without the PWM controller. The OKLP-X/35-W12-C power block measures 25.4 x 12.7 x 11.1mm and has a typical efficiency rating of 94%. The maximum benefits are achieved when coupled with the ZMDI ZSPM1035 single-phase digital PWM IC controller family. OKLP-X/25-W12-C provides 70A/in2 @ 55°C with 200LFM airflow. The OKLP-X/25-W12-C has incorporated all of the power handling components required for a 25A PoL design. The maximum benefits are achieved when coupled with the ZMDI ZSPM1025 single-phase digital PWM IC controller family.

Murata Power Solutions OKLP-X/35-W12-C 35A Power Block Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter incorporates all of the power handling components required for a 35A PoL design, providing maximum flexibility for the power systems engineer to design the power train using digital or analog controllers. OKLP-X/35-W12-C is part of a new series of Power Block products designed to address the growing requirements for increased current/power densities while providing maximum flexibility for power system architectures. OKLP-X/35-W12 delivers a high efficiency, thermally stable, and high performance solution for high power/current density system requirements. OKLP-X/35-W12-C power block measures 25.4 x 12.7 x 11.1mm and has a typical efficiency rating of 94%. The maximum benefits are achieved when coupled with the ZMDI ZSPM1035 single-phase digital PWM IC controller family.

OKLP-X/25-W12-C

Murata Power Block features a non-isolated switching power converter, providing up to 49.5W with an input range of 7-13.2V DC, a regulated output of 0.8-3.6V DC, and load current up to 25A at 1V output voltage. The Power Block is a synchronous buck converter, and has been implemented using a synchronous buck gate driver IC with co-packed control and synchronous MOSFETs and Schottky diode. The output filter consists of 375nH inductance and 20μf capacitance. The OKLP-X/25-W12-C is the first product to use this approach and is optimized for use with the ZMDI ZSPM10x5 series of digital controllers that incorporate PMBus™ communications.
