Molex RF Connectors

Molex BNC Connectors are easy-to-use miniature connectors suitable for a wide range of RF applications. Featuring a double-studded bayonet coupling system, BNC RF Connectors enable quick connects/disconnects. Molex's BNC RF Connectors are available in 75 Ohm versions to match the standard system impedance in video applications such as security systems and optimized 3 GHz BNC designs for today's HDTV equipment systems.

Molex TNC Connectors are miniature RF connectors with a threaded coupling arrangement. Threaded coupling enables the TNC connectors to perform up to 11 GHz with improved resistance to adverse environments including vibration, moisture, corrosion and thermal variations. Molex TNC RF Connectors are typically used in mobile communications, avionics and antenna ports for wireless base units. Available in IP68 bulkhead versions.

Molex's SMA product line features high-performance subminiature connectors for microwave frequencies. The threaded coupling system ensures uniform contact of the outer conductors and enables SMA to minimize reflections and attenuation at higher frequencies while providing a high degree of mechanical strength and durability. Molex designed the QMA Connectors as a lower frequency alternative to the SMA thread-on connectors. QMA's design improves the axial retention of today's QLF® QMA connectors and offers performance comparable to a threaded SMA. QMA Connectors provide the added benefit of easy push-pull mating for faster installation and removal as well as higher density capabilities.

Molex Type N Connectors are low-loss interconnects designed to balance frequency and power up to 11 GHz in high-power RF applications. Though classified as a miniature connector, Type N features a rugged medium-sized design and screw-type coupling system to accommodate a wide range of medium to miniature-sized coaxial cables. Typical applications include broadcast electronics, aerospace, telecommunication base stations and the passive/active components in base stations. Molex offers optimized precision versions up to 18 GHz.

Molex MMCX 50 Ohm microminiature connectors are compact, lightweight connectors that maintain good R.F characteristics in densely populated electronic packages with size and weight limitations. A snap-on interface without slotting in the outer conductor maintains mechanical stability. Designed to function in applications operating to 6 GHz, MMCX offer similar electrical performance to much larger coaxial connector types. MMCX Connectors are typically used for wireless/PCS devices, telecommunications, GPS receivers and consumer electronics applications. Molex offers non-magnetic versions for MRI applications.
