Micropelt TE-Power MOTE Wireless Sensor System

The Micropelt TE-Power MOTE is a fully sealed autonomous wireless sensor system for outdoor or indoor applications, including harsh conditions. The TE-Power MOTE is based on the Micropelt TE-Power NODE platform and is powered by the MPG-D751 Thermo-Electric Generator (TEG) that converts heat into electrical energy. The Micropelt TE-Power MOTE autonomous wireless sensor is equipped with a Texas Instruments MSP430 ultra-low power microcontroller and a TI CC2500 2.4 GHz transceiver and can power from a vast range of waste heat or cold sources: friction/motion, electrical current, heating, air-conditioning, fire, pipes with hot/cold fluid, machines, motors, and more. A 2.4GHz radio link communicates the measurement data to the TE-Power SCOPE PC software. The Micropelt TE-Power MOTE system is prepared to adopt different network protocols within the 2.4 GHz frequency band, such as ZigBee. The current implementation is based on the TI "simpliciTI" RF network protocol.
