Microchip's SST11CP15 RF Power Amplifier is a high-linearity Power Amp for 5 GHz Wi-Fi® applications. The device operates across the entire 802.11a frequency for U.S., European, and Japanese markets (4.9 - 5.8 GHz). SST11CP15 RF Power Amp features excellent linearity of 18 dBm at 2.5 percent EVM, essential for 54 Mbps 802.11a operation. This addition to Microchip's Wi-Fi® power amp portfolio is ideal for 5 GHz WLAN applications requiring small size and high-efficiency operation, such as wireless multimedia and MIMO. Easy board level usage, low operating current, high-speed power-up/down control, and low reference current (total IREF <5 mA) makes the SST11CP15 RF Power Amplifier ideally suited for the final stage power amplification in battery-powered 802.11a WLAN transmitter and access point applications.
