Maxim Integrated MAX1359B 16-Bit Data Acquisition SystemsMaxim Integrated's MAX1359B 16-bit smart data acquisition systems (DAS) are based on a 16-bit sigma-delta ADC and system-support functionality for a microprocessor-based system. The MAX1359B integrates an ADC, DAC, two op amps, internal 1.25V/2.048V/2.5V selectable reference, temperature sensors, analog switches, a 32kHz oscillator, an RTC with alarm, 1.8V and 2.7V voltage monitors, and feature dual 10:1 differential input multiplexers that accept signal levels from 0 to AVDD. An on-chip 1x to 8x programmable-gain amplifier (PGA) measures low-level signals and reduces external circuitry. Maxim Integrated MAX1359B data acquisition systems operate from a single +1.8V to +3.6V supply, consuming only 1.4mA in normal mode and only 6.1µA in sleep mode. They are ideal for use in a variety of applications, including battery-powered and portable devices, electrochemical and optical sensors, medical instruments, industrial control, and data acquisition systems.
