Maxim Integrated MAX17710 Energy-Harvesting Charger and Protector devices are the industry's first ICs to integrate all of the power-management functions for ambient energy harvesting and also for charging and protecting micro-energy cells (MECs). Maxim Integrated MAX17710 Energy-Harvesting Charger and Protector ICs can manage poorly regulated sources such as energy-harvesting devices with output levels ranging from 1µW to 100mW. The device also includes a booster regulator circuit for charging the cell from a source as low as 0.75V (typ). These MAX17710 ICs are optimized for use in medical devices, high-temperature applications, remote wireless sensors, semiactive RFID tags, memory and real-time clock backup, toys, and more. The MAX17710EVKIT Evaluation Kit is a fully assembled and tested PCB that contains all the components necessary to evaluation the performance of the MAX17710. The evaluation kit features the THINERGY® micro-energy cell (MEC) solid-state, rechargeable, thin-power solution.
