C0G Dielectric:
The High Voltage C0G Dielectric Surface Mount MLCCs from KEMET feature a maximum operating temperature of 125ºC (min. -55ºC), voltage from 500VDC to 3000VDC, and are rated Class I materials by the Electronics Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (EIA). The C0G material incorporated into these SMD MLCCs from KEMET is temperature compensating and exhibits no capacitance change with respect to time and voltage and very minimal change in capacitance with respect to ambient temperature. In addition, these capacitors are available in commercial as well as automotive grades that meet the Automotive Electronics Council's stringent AEC-Q200 qualification requirements. Other features and benefits of these capacitors include no piezoelectric noise, high thermal stability, high ripple current capability, minimal installation issues due to a non-polar design, and manufacturing in state-of-the-art ISO/TS 16949:2002 certified facilities. | X7R Dielectric:
Kemet's High Voltage X7R Dielectric SMD MLCCs offer a voltage range of 500-3000VDC and 125ºC maximum operating temperature and are considered "temperature stable." The X7R dielectric MLCCs from Kemet are rated Class II materials by the Electronics Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (EIA). Class II components are fixed, ceramic dielectric capacitors
that are suited for bypass and decoupling applications or for frequency
discriminating circuits where Q and stability of capacitance
characteristics are not critical. X7R presents a predictable change in
capacitance with respect to time and voltage and minimal change in
capacitance with reference to ambient temperature. Other features of X7R
dielectric capacitors include low ESR and ESL, low leakage current,
Pb-free and RoHS compliant, multiple case sizes, and more.
