IXYS IXEP2300 ePaper Gate Driver
IXYS IXEP2300 ePaper Gate Driver is a 300 channel, 42V display gate driver. It has an internal pattern generator for applications where minimal controller interface is desirable. It also has global blanking and inversion to facilitate powering up and down the display in the inactive state. The IXEP2300 also features token passing capability, and a sleep mode to reduce power consumption. The IXEP2300 features 300 high voltage output drivers that are rated at 42V. These outputs are typically driven with voltage supplies of +22V and -20V and drive the gates of thin film transistors (TFTs) of electronic paper displays. The polarity of the outputs can be set to control p-type or n-type TFTs. The IXEP2300 is cascadeable with bidirectional shift control. The IXEP2300 is the cost-down version of the popular MXEI2300 electronic paper display gate driver. The IXEP2300 can be used with the IXYS ICD's industry standard MXEI1480, 480 channel source driver, to provide a complete driver solution for EPDs. Typical applications include eBooks, electronic shelf labels, smart cards, and signage.
