EXAR XR21x14x UART

The Exar XR21x14x Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter with USB 2.0 compliant bus interface is the industry's fastest UART series. The USB interface on the Exar XR21x14x supports 12 Mbps USB data transfer rate, USB suspend, resume, and remote wakeup operations. This Exar UART operates from an internal 48 MHz clock, requires no external crystal/oscillator, and can accurately generate any baud rate using the internal clock. The UART series includes an automatic transceiver direction control feature that simplifies the hardware for RS-485 applications. The XR21x14x UART is ideal for portable appliances, external converters (dongles), battery-operated devices, and more. Exar also offers 1-, 2-, and 4-channel evaluation boards with RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces for testing the capabilities of these Exar UARTs.
