Linx GPS and GNSS receiver modules are self-contained, high-performance, Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS) receivers designed for navigation, tracking, and positioning applications. Based on the MediaTek chipset, these modules can simultaneously acquire and track multiple satellite constellations or channels with high position accuracy even at low signal levels. Housed in compact reflow-compatible SMD packages, these GPS/GNSS receivers require no programming or additional RF components (except antennas) to form complete GPS/GNSS solutions. These receiver modules are easy to integrate, even for engineers without previous GPS or GNSS experience. The Linx GPS and GNSS Receiver Master Development Kit enables designers to rapidly develop hardware and software based on the GPS or GNSS receiver modules. Additionally, the Linx GPS and GNSS receiver evaluation module combines the surface mount GPS and GNSS modules, SMA connectors, and ferrite beads on a single board with through-hole headers making prototyping with the GPS and GNSS modules simple.


Linx FM/RM GPS Receiver Modules

Linx FM/RM GPS receiver modules are self-contained, high-performance, Global Positioning System receivers designed for navigation, tracking, and positioning applications. Based on the MediaTek chipset, these modules can simultaneously acquire on 66 channels and track on up to 22 channels insuring fast lock times and high position accuracy even at low signal levels. The FM/RM GPS receivers have exceptional sensitivity for superior performance, even in dense foliage and urban canyons. A standard UART serial interface is used to send and receive NMEA messages in ASCII format. A simple serial command set can be used to configure optional features. Linx FM/RM GPS receiver modules UART can be connected directly to the UART on a microcontroller or a PC using a USB or RS-232 converter chip. Housed in a compact reflow-compatible SMD package, the FM/RM GPS receivers require no programming or additional RF components (except an antenna) to form a complete GPS solution. This makes the FM/RM series easy to integrate, even by engineers without previous RF or GPS experience.

Linx GM/TM GNSS Receiver Modules

Linx GM/TM GNSS receiver modules are self-contained, high-performance, Global Satellite Navigation System receivers designed for navigation, tracking, and positioning applications. Based on the MediaTek chipset, these modules can simultaneously acquire and track multiple satellite constellations. These include the United States GPS system, Europe's GALILEO, Russia's GLONASS and Japan's QZSS. These receivers provide exceptional sensitivity, even in dense foliage and urban canyons. The modules have built-in receiver duty cycling that can be configured to periodically turn off the module for further power savings. Hybrid ephemeris prediction can be used to achieve cold start times of less than 15 seconds. The GM/TM GNSS receiver modules UART serial interface is used to send and receive NMEA messages in ASCII format. A simple serial command set can be used to configure optional features. Linx GPS & GNSS Receiver Master Development Kits

Linx GPS & GNSS receiver master development kits enable designers to rapidly develop hardware and software based on the GPS or GNSS receiver modules. The Master Development System comes with a fully assembled development board for benchmarking and prototyping. The development board has an OLED display for viewing the satellite data, which allows the development board to operate as a stand-alone device. A large prototyping area and module interface header makes adding custom circuitry easy. This allows the development board to act as a prototype. One GPS receiver or GNSS receiver is on an evaluation board that plugs into a socket on the development board. This makes it easy to swap the module between the development board and your prototype board for testing and debugging. A spare module is also included for use on your prototype boards once testing is complete. Linx offers several GPS receivers and GNSS receivers, but each has their own evaluation module that fits into the common socket on the development board. The Development System also includes demonstration software that interfaces with the development board through a USB interface. This software shows the satellite data and provides mapping functionality which aids in evaluation of the module, testing, and debugging once a design has begun.
