The First ECL Triggered by Excessive Voltage or CurrentBourns TBU™-PL Series SLIC High Speed Protectors protect telecommunications applications from surges in the industry's first electronic current limiter (ECL) triggered by excessive voltage or current. The new Bourns TBU-PL Series Subscriber Line Interface Circuit (SLIC) provides extremely fast overcurrent protection combined with SLIC battery voltage tracking triggered protection. Bourns TBU-PL High Speed Protectors respond in 100 nanoseconds, protecting sensitive telecom applications from the potentially damaging effects of surges that can cause current and voltage to rise above normal operating levels. The Bourns TBU-PL Series combines with additional overvoltage protectors to protect against very high surge levels and meets telecom 500A Telcordia GR-1089 intrabuilding and 6kV / 150A ITU-T standards. The TBU-PL is part of the Bourns TBU (Transient Blocking Unit) Series of protection devices.
