Azoteq's IQS259 ProxSense® 9-Channel Capacitive Sensor Controller uses advanced analog and digital circuitry to achieve unparalleled proximity and touch performance. The high sensitivity enables the IQS259 ProxSense® 9-Channel Capacitive Sensor Controller to work reliably through glass up to 25mm thick and achieves proximity detection up to 250mm. The Azoteq IQS259 ProxSense® 9-Channel Capacitive Sensor Controller can operate from 1.8 to 3.6V and achieves power consumption as low as 8 microampere while still sensing proximity and touch. The I2C compatible interface allows for full control of the sensor functions from a host controller.

Reference Design Reference Design
  • Use C2 and C4 for added RF noise immunity
  • Place C1-C4 as close as possible to IC, connected to good GND
  • R7, R8 and R9 used as pull up resistors for I2C protocol (4.7k to 10k typical)
