AVR® Transceivers

The Atmel AT86RF212 and AT86RF23x are low-power, high-performance AVR® RF transceivers that provide a complete radio interface between the antenna and the microcontroller. The AT86RF212 and AT86RF23x are true SPI-to-antenna solutions. The Atmel AT86RF212 700 / 800 / 900 MHz transceiver is designed for use with IEEE 802.15.4-2006, IEEE 802.15.4c-2009, ZigBee, 6LoWPAN, and ISM applications. The AT86RF212 is the first IEEE 802.15.4 enabled sub gigahertz radio.

The Atmel AT86RF230 and AT86RF231 2.4 GHz transceivers are designed for use with ZigBee, IEEE 802.15.4, 6LoWPAN, RF4CE, and ISM applications. The AT86RF23x are highly acclaimed networking devices within low power personal area networks.

NEW! Atmel has added their 3rd generation 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4-compliant RF transceiver. The Atmel AT86RF233 transceiver offers 60 percent lower power consumption than its closest competitors.
