Atmel's SAMA5Dxx ARM Cortex-A5 eMPU Evaluation Kits are full-featured evaluation platforms for the Atmel SAMA5Dxx embedded microprocessors. Each consists of a main board, a computer module equipped with a SAMA5Dxx processor, and a display module. Each kit is supported by the SAMA5D3 Softpack, a free set of bare metal C examples, and is delivered with on-board demos for Lunix and Qt-based GUI. These kits allow users to extensively evaluate, prototype and create applications that require graphics, audio, mass storage, networking, connectivity and more.


Atmel's SAMA5D31-EK is a full-featured evaluation platform for the Atmel SAMA5D31 embedded microprocessor. The kit consists of a main board, a computer module equipped with a SAMA5D31 processor, and a display module. It is supported by the SAMA5D3 Softpack, a free set of bare metal C examples, and is delivered with on-board demos for Linux and Qt-based GUI. The SAMA5D31-EK allows users to extensively evaluate, prototype and create applications that require graphics, audio, mass storage, networking, connectivity and more. Source files and binaries for the on-board demo are available on Linux4SAM, the entry point to open source solutions for Atmel ARM® core-based embedded microprocessors.

Atmel's SAMA5D3 Xplained Evaluation Kit is a fast prototyping and low cost evaluation platform for Atmel's SAMA5D3 ARM® Cortex®-A5 processor-based microprocessor design. It comes with a free of charge Linux distribution including Linux Kernel 3.10 (LTS), Linux Mainline and Yocto 1.5.1 support. Bare metal developers benefit from a complete C software package including many examples to get started fast. The board is also a perfect development platform for headless Android. The board comes with a rich set of ready to use connectivity and storage peripherals and expansion headers for easy customization. A USB device connector can be used to power the board as well as programming and debugging it.
