Amphenol offers a very wide range of contacts that provide high speed transmission and operate in high frequency conditions. These connectors are most ideal for integrating high speed and high frequency contacts.

Oval Contact System (OCS) Connectors

Amphenol Aerospace Oval Contact System (OCS) Connectors are the newest 38999 interconnect product offering that provides many advantages for high speed data transmission. The OCS contains (4) 100 Ohm differential pairs capable of delivering data transfer of speeds of 10Gbps per pair and meets environmental requirements of MIL-DTL-38999 as well as uses off-the-shelf Mil Spec backshells.

MT Fiber Ferrules

Amphenol Aerospace MT Fiber Ferrules offer a high fiber density in a relatively small cylindrical connector package with all the advantages of the MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connector. Three levels of alignment provide for a precise fiber to fiber interface. Two arrangements are available, shell size 11 with one ferrule, and shell size 21 with four ferrules.

PDS-236 Saber Fiber to Copper Converter

Amphenol Aerospace PDS-236 Saber Fiber to Copper Converter offers a flexible, affordable, and rugged fiber copper converter system with many options available. Amphenol Aerospace has taken two technologies and combined them into a hybrid connector. Now you can transfer high speed data seamlessly from copper to fiber and from fiber to copper through the Saber. The Saber has no need for internal subsystem fiber harnesses, interconnect, or transceivers. The Saber utilizes copper transceivers and existing interconnect (backplane, harnessing, faceplate) for system fiber connection. Media conversion at the connector reduces system complexity and cost. The MS29504 system fiber interface supporting speeds of 1G, 2G, 4G, 10Gbps and the copper interface supports 2X high speed channels on 6.5 Gbps capable split pair quadrax PC tails or flex assembly. Full ruggedization for environmentals and EMI/EMP is standard on the Saber Fiber to Copper Converter.

Quadrax 

Amphenol Aerospace High Speed Quadrax contacts consist of an outer contact with four inner contacts spaced to form two 100 or 150 Ohm controlled impedance differential pair. Both contacts, when used in Amphenol MIL-DTL-38999 Series III and ARINC type connectors, provide an excellent alternative for harsh environment applications such as: Ethernet 100 Base-T-100 Ohm, Gigabit Ethernet 1000 Base-T-100 Ohm, Fibre Channel-150 Ohm, IEEE1394B FireWire-110 Ohm. Quadrax contacts are gold plated, crimp termination Finish of mating contact parts: supplied with 0.000050 min. gold over nickel on mating parts. Consult Amphenol for availability of other finishes.
