Texas Instruments ADS422x and ADS424x Dual-Channel Analog-to-Digital Converters are low-speed variants of the ADS42xx ultra-low power family of ADCs. The 12-bit TI ADS422x and 14-bit TI ADS424x devices use innovative design techniques to achieve high-dynamic performance while consuming extremely low power with a 1.8V supply. This topology makes TI ADS422x and ADS424x Dual-Channel ADCs ideal for multi-carrier, wide-bandwidth communications applications.

Texas Instruments ADS42xxEVM Evaluation Modules (EVM) are a circuit board that allows designers to evaluate the performance of the ADS42xx device, an extremely low power dual channel 12-bit analog to digital converter. The ADC features a configurable parallel DDR LVDS or CMOS outputs. The EVM provides a flexible environment to test the ADS42xx under a variety of clock, input and supply conditions. The ADS42xxEVM also includes Texas Instrument's new 10 Output Low Jitter Clock Synchronizer and Jitter Cleaner device, the CDCE72010, which can be used to drive the clocking input to the ADS42xx. Open sockets are provided for an external VCXO and crystal band pass filter allowing for rapid evaluation of a combined high performance ADC and clocking circuit equivalent to a final system level solution.

AFE722xEVM Evaluation Modules (EVM)

Texas Instruments AFE722xEVM Evaluation Modules (EVM) are a circuit board that allows designers to evaluate the performance of the AFE722x, a low power analog front end mixed-signal transceiver. The AFE7222 contains dual 12-bit ADCs and dual 12-bit DACs, along with 2x/4x interpolation, /2 decimation, independent 32-bit TX/RX complex mixers, quadrature modulation correction and auxiliary monitoring/control ADC/DACs. The EVM provides a flexible environment to test the AFE722x under a variety of clock, data input and IF or RF output conditions. For ease of use as a complete RF transmit solution the AFE722xEVM includes the CDCE72010 clock generator/jitter cleaner for clocking the AFE722x as well as a TRF370333, a 350MHz to 4GHz quadrature modulator, for up converting I/Q outputs from the DAC to real signals at RF. The dual ADC in the AFE722x is driven from transformer-coupled IF inputs for flexible receiver evaluation and measurements. The ADC input path can be configured for DC-coupled complex baseband inputs as well.

DAC31x2EVM Evaluation Modules (EVM)

Texas Instruments DAC31x2EVM Evaluation Modules (EVM) are a circuit board that allows designers to evaluate the performance of the dual-channel 10-bit or 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This DAC comes with 10 or 12-byte wide DDR LVDS data input, very low power, size and latency. The evaluation module provides a flexible environment to test the DAC31x2 with or without a direct RF TRF370333, a 350MHz to 4.0GHz Quadrature Modulator, for upconverting I/Q outputs from the DAC to RF. The evaluation module can be used along with the TSW3100 pattern generator card to perform a wide range of tests. The TSW3100 generates the test patterns which are fed to the DAC31x2 through an LVDS port. The DAC31x2EVM has a clock chip, the CDCP1803, which can be used to synchronize the TSW3100 board to DAC31x2EVM.

TSW1265EVM Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments TSW1265EVM Evaluation Module (EVM) is a wideband dual receiver reference design and evaluation platform. The signal chain allows conversion from RF to bits using a dual-channel downconverter mixer, the LMH6521 dual-channel DVGA, and the ADS4249 14-bit 250-MSPS ADC. The TSW1265EVM also includes the LMK04800 dual-PLL clock jitter cleaner and generator to provide an onboard low-noise clocking solution. A software GUI is provided to allow for configuration of the ADS4249 and LMK04800. The gain of the LMH6521 DVGA can be controlled through the GUI or alternatively through the high speed connector with an FPGA. The EVM is designed to mate with the TSW1400EVM pattern capture and generation board to capture data from the ADS4249. Signal analysis can then be performed with the High Speed Data Converter Pro software tool.

Texas Instruments TSW1400EVM High Speed Data Cature & Pattern Generation Platform is a complete pattern generator and data capture circuit board used to evaluate most of TI's high speed analog-to-digital converters (ADC) and digital to analog converters (DAC). The TSW1400EVM features a high speed LVDS bus capable of providing 16-bits of data at 1.5 GSPS. The board will also support a dual 16-bit CMOS interface that will be enabled in a future firmware upgrade. These two interfaces will allow evaluation for almost all of TI high speed ADC and DAC evaluation modules at their full data rate. The board comes with 1GB of memory, which provides a 16-bit sample depth of 512MB. This improved memory enables better FFT frequency resolution and larger capture sizes for more realistic tests. All of this functionality comes at a price that is lower than any other complete solution on the market.

Texas Instruments TSW1405EVM Low Cost Data Capure Card is a low cost data capture circuit board used to evaluate some of TI's most popular high speed analog-to-digital converters (ADC). The TSW1405EVM supports a high speed LVDS bus capable of providing 16-bit samples at 1.0GSPS. The platform supports a 64k sample depth with the ability to collect data on up to eight channels concurrently. The TSW1405EVM features a high speed Lattice ECP3 FPGA. It's flexible prototyping allows it to directly interface to many of TI's LVDS output ADCs. The TSW1405EVM utilizes the intuitive/easy-to-use GUI software package. This is same easy to use interface as the more fully featured TSW1400EVM, making for an easy transition across different platforms.

TSW21x0EVM Crystal Filtered Sources

Texas Instruments TSW21x0EVM Crystal Filtered Sources are a very clean 10MHz or 70MHz source designed for the purposes of providing an input signal for testing TI ADC devices. The EVM includes a 10MHz or 70MHz crystal oscillator, an amplifier and a 10MHz or 70MHz Crystal filter with 16kHz band pass response. The output of the TSW21x0EVM is set to about 10dBm, approximately 2Vpp, with typical harmonic performance greater than 80dBc. This is the appropriate peak to peak swing required by most TI ADCs. The TSW21x0 can be easily powered from a 5V source such as a lab supply or from the 5V source of the TSW2200EVM.

TSW2200EVM Low Cost Power Supply

Texas Instruments TSW2200EVM Low Cost Power Supply is a portable power supply based on TPS40055 switcher, TPS76xx LDOs and UCD90120A sequencer. The TSW2200 is designed to be powered from DC power ranging from 10-20V. It is done on 1 of 3 inputs: the included 12V wall supply, standard banana jack inputs, or a 19V power supply with 2.5mm DC jack. There are dedicated supplies for 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V, and 2 adjustable supplies from 1.4V to 6.37V all capable of providing 1A each. There is also a -5V supply capable of delivering 0.36A. An on board sequencer is provided to allow the supplies to be enabled in a predetermined time interval. This EVM can be used to deliver power to the other Low Cost Evaluation Tools as well as the ADC and DAC device EVMs.

TSW3085 Evalution Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments TSW3085 Evalution Module (EVM) is a circuit board that allows system designers to evaluate the combined performance of TI's transmit signal chain with the LMK04806B low noise clock generator/jitter cleaner. For ease of use as a complete RF transmit solution the TSW3085EVM includes the LMK04806B for clocking the DAC3482 digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It also includes a TRF3705 for up-converting the I/Q output from the DACs to an RF carrier. The DAC3482 is a dual-channel, ultra-low power 16-bit 1.25GSPS DAC. The TRF3705 is a high performance complex RF modulator with a 300MHz to 4GHz output range. The LMK04806B is a low noise clock generator and jitter cleaner capable of jitter below 100fs rms and output frequencies up to 1300MHz.
