Texas Instruments ADS1294R, ADS1296R, and ADS1298R 8-channel, 24-bit analog front-end (AFE) devices for biopotential measurements feature high levels of integration and exceptional performance that enables the development of scalable medical instrumentation systems at significantly reduced size, power, and overall cost. TI ADS1294R, ADS1296R, and ADS1298R analog front-end devices are multichannel, simultaneous sampling, 24-bit, delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with built-in programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs), internal reference, and an onboard oscillator. The ADS129xR devices also feature integrated respiration impedance measurement. TI ADS129xR analog front-end devices incorporate all of the features that are commonly required in medical electrocardiogram (ECG) and electroencephalogram (EEG) applications. The TI ADS1294R, ADS1296R, and ADS1298R AFEs operate at data rates as high as 32kSPS, allowing the implementation of software PACE detection.
