Texas Instruments ADS119x 16-bit Analog Front End

Texas Instruments ADS1194 and ADS1196 low-power 16-bit analog front end (AFE) devices for biopotential measurements enable the creation of scalable medical instrumentation systems at significantly reduced size, power, and overall cost. The TI ADS1194 and ADS1196 AFE devices have a flexible input multiplexer per channel that can be independently connected to the internally generated signals for test, temperature, and lead-off detection. The TI ADS1194 and ADS1196 operate at data rates as high as 8kSPS, allowing the implementation of software pace detection. These TI analog front end devices are designed for use in a variety of medical instrumentation, including patient monitoring (Holter, event, stress, and vital signs, including ECG, AED, and telemedicine) as well as evoked audio potential (EAP) and sleep study monitors.
