TI TRF371109 Direct Downconversion Receivers

The Texas Instruments TRF371109 0.3-1.7 GHz wide bandwidth integrated direct downconversion receiver integrates balanced I and Q mixers, LO buffers, and phase splitters to convert an RF signal directly to I and Q baseband. The on-chip programmable gain amplifiers allow adjustment of the output signal level without the need for external variable gain (attenuator) devices. The TI TRF371109 direct downconversion receiver integrates programmable baseband low-pass filters that attenuate nearby interference, eliminating the need for an external baseband filter. The TI TRF371109 is housed in a 7-mm × 7-mm VQFN package and provides the smallest and most integrated receiver solution available for high-performance equipment.

TI TRF371109EVM Evaluation Module

The TRF371109EVM Evaluation Module tests the performance of this TI direct downconversion receiver. The RF input and LO (local oscillator) input require differential signals, achieved with the use of an RF balun. The TRF371109EVM can be configured with different baluns to facilitate operation in the frequency band of interest.
