Texas Instruments MSP-EXP430FR6989 LaunchPad Development Kit is an easy-to-use Evaluation Module (EVM) for the MSP40FR6989 microcontroller (MCU). It contains everything needed to start developing on the ultra-low-power MSP430FRx FRAM microcontroller platform, including on-board emulation for programming, debugging and energy measurements. The board features on-board buttons and LEDs for quick integration of a simple user interface. It includes a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) display which showcases the integrated driver that can drive up to 320 segments. It also offers direct access to the Extended Scan Interface. The Texas Instruments MSP-EXP430G2 LaunchPad experimenter board is a complete USB-based development and experimenter tool providing everything you need to launch your own MSP430 Value Line applications. The TI MSP-EXP430G2 LaunchPad includes an integrated DIP target socket that supports up to 20 pins, allowing MSP430 Value Line devices to be dropped into the LaunchPad board. An on-board flash emulation tool allows direct interface to a PC for easy programming, debugging, and evaluation. BoosterPacks are available for various applications and functions, and many BoosterPacks are supported by all LaunchPad variants. Each BoosterPack is provided in standard 100mil pitch, making it easy to connect to breadboards for quick prototyping, and they are available with 20-pin or 40-pin counts.

Multiple BoosterPacks can plug into an MCU LaunchPad Evaluation Kit. BoosterPacks can be placed on different docks or stacked vertically. This is especially useful when BoosterPacks need to share a common SPI or I²C bus. Be sure to check each BoosterPack to ensure compatibility.
