TE Connectivity SolderSleeve Shield Terminators

Tyco Connectivity 's SolderSleeve Shield Terminators have a transparent insulation sleeve that provides encapsulation, inspectability, strain relief, and insulation. In addition, TE 's SolderSleeve Shield Terminators feature preflux solder preform that provides a controlled soldering process, one-piece design for easy installation and lower installation costs, and optional preinstalled ground leads for convenience and ease of installation. These terminators are used for shield-to-ground termination.

B-155 Environment-resistant Shield Termination

The TE Connectivity B-155 SolderSleeves are cross-linked polyolefin solder sleeves designed to provide environment-resistant shield termination. Developed for high temperature applications in the aerospace and defense industry, transportation and non-transportation automotive sectors, and industrial environments, the TE Connectivity B-155 SolderSleeves have an operating temperature range of -55ºC to 125ºC , transparent heat-shrinkable insulation sleeve, and thermally stabilized thermoplastic meltable rings. When installed with approved convection and infrared heating tools meet SAE AS83519 the performance requirements.

CWT Environment-resistant Shield Termination

The TE Connectivity CWT SolderSleeves are polyolefin solder sleeves designed to provide environment-resistant shield termination. Designed for termination of a wire to the lead of electrical component or to the terminal of a connector, the TE Connectivity CWT SolderSleeves have an operating temperature range of -55ºC to 125ºC , transparent heat-shrinkable insulation sleeve, and radiation cross-linked modified polyolefin mutable rings. When installed with approved convection and infrared heating tools meet SAE AS83519 the performance requirements.

SO63 Series BiAlloy Temperature Indication System

The TE Connectivity SO63 series terminators are immersion resistant and meet the performance requirements of SAE-AS83519 (formerly MIL-S-S-83519 ). This system greatly enhances the reliability and repeatability of SO63 series terminators while reducing installed cost. The heat-shrinkable thermoplastic sleeve contains a precisely engineered, fluxed solder band that is visible through the sleeve. The band provides exactly the amount of solder and flux required to terminate the ground to the cable shield. Encircling the band in a small temperature indicator ring. This ring melts only when the surfaces to be joined have reached the correct soldering temperature, thus ensuring a properly soldered connection. Process control is built into each sleeve.
