TE Connectivity Inverted Through Board Connectors

TE Connectivity High Power Inverted Through Board SMT Connectors eliminate wire dress management issues with discreet wire leads around the top surface of LED printed circuit boards. The inverted through board SMT connectors are designed to be surface mounted through a cutout inside the printed circuit board or through a notch on the edge of the PCB. This design allows the inverted thru board SMT connectors to deliver power to LED aluminum clad boards from the underside of the printed circuit board. Available in 2, 3, and 4 positions, these RoHS compliant connectors offer a low profile, top surface height of 2.00mm above the LED PBC, rounded corners to prevent shadowing, surface mount board locks for stability during mating and unmating, and a 70V DC/70V AC voltage rating.

TE Connectivity High Power Inverted Thru Board SMT Connectors accept Economy Power II (EP II) mating connectors. The mating (TE) Economy Power II (EP) plug connectors are based on a .156” (3.96mm) pitch, rated for 600VAC at up to 7 AMPs, and accept 22-18 AWG (0.34mm² to 0.75mm²) stranded wire sizes which are ideal for delivering power to printed circuit boards.

Developed specifically to meet the need for high power connections to aluminum-clad printed circuit boards in LED lighting applications, TE's Connectivity High Power Inverted Through Board SMT Connectors are ideally suited for LED lighting controls, indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, and general LED illumination fixtures.

TE Connectivity ITB (Inverted Thru-Board) Card Edge Connectors deliver a direct power connection between driver boards to the underside of LED array boards. This 2 position, SMT card edge connector provides a perpendicular mating, cableless, space-saving power connection that is ideal for compact LED assembly designs such as those found in today’s retrofit lamps and bulbs. The low profile design has a 1.5 mm height above the LED mounted board and accepts either 1.0 mm or 1.2 mm thick driver boards.

NEW! Poke-in Inverted Thru-Board Card Edge SMT Connectors allow discrete wires ranging from 26AWG to 18AWG to poke through the underside of the connector while the low-profile covers minimize interference of the light cone from the adjacent LED's. Poke-in Inverted Thru-Board Card Edge SMT Connectors are designed for higher power applications with voltage ranges of 400 VAC whereas standard ITB's are used with 250 VAC applications.
