TE Connectivity Cold Applied Splices

TE Connectivity's Cold Applied Splices are in-line, sealed, crimp splices designed for 150⁰C applications. Developed for high temperature applications in the aerospace and defense industry, the cold applied splices from TE are small, lightweight, and immersion resistant. The cold applied splices meet the requirements of SAE-AS81824/1 and feature a transparent fluoropolymer outer sleeve with a new high-performance, flame-retardant clear gel that provides environmental protection, strain relief, sealing to un-etched wire insulations, and an inspectable termination.

Features

  • Immersion resistant in-line splice on 1:1 wires
  • Protects and seals all conventional MIL spec and commercial wire insulation systems
  • Nickel-plated, silver-plated, and tin-plated conductors
  • One-step termination and environmental protection
  • No heating required for installation— safe for use on fueled aircraft
  • Easy installation and application flexibility
  • Prevents water ingress under permanent pressure/weight
  • Achieves environmental performance while maintaining:
    • Small profile
    • Electrical performance
  • Meets or exceeds:
    • SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/8 (Insulation sleeve)
    • SAE-AS81824/12
