Silicon Labs' EZRadio® family of fully integrated, low-power, low-data-rate, cost-effective wireless ICs is designed to meet the needs of OEMs developing ISM applications for the consumer, industrial and automotive markets. The EZRadio ISM band receivers and transmitters target one-way wireless link applications such as remote keyless entry (RKE), garage door openers, remote controls, home automation and security devices.

The Silicon Labs Si4010 Crystal-less SoC RF Transmitter is a RF transmitter with an integrated 8051 microcontroller is the industry's first single-chip remote control IC requiring only one external bypass capacitor, a printed circuit board, battery and an external casing with push-buttons to form a complete remote control. Based on the proven Si500 silicon oscillator, its patented crystal-less architecture achieves ±150 ppm carrier frequency accuracy over the commercial temperature range and ±250 ppm over the industrial temperature range, which is two times as accurate as traditional low-cost SAW-based transmitters with no external crystal. The device operates over a continuous frequency range of 27 to 960 MHz and includes a programmable power amplifier (PA) with output powers of up to +10 dBm, automatic antenna tuning and PA edge-rate control to comply with FCC, ETSI and ARIB radio frequency regulations.

Si4012

 

The Silicon Labs Si4012 is a fully integrated FSK/OOK crystal-less CMOS high-data rate RF transmitter designed for the sub-GHz ISM band.  It has the same RF and analog circuitry as the Si4010 but without the integrated 8051 MCU to support applications requiring an external MCU. The device offers advanced radio features including continuous frequency coverage of 27 - 960 MHz, automatic antenna tuning, adjustable output power of up to +10 dBm, and FSK data rates up to 100 kbaud.  The transmitter supports continuous data streaming with a 256-byte FIFO and is optimized for the M-BUS T1 market.

The ​EZRadio Si4313 RF receiver complements Silicon Labs' highly differentiated EZRadio transmitters.The Si4313 single-ended GFSK/FSK/OOK receiver features continuous frequency operation over 240-960 MHz and receive sensitivity of up to -118 dBm. The Si4313 also features a simplified SPI MCU interface for radio customization and enhanced performance. The Si4313 RF receiver offers a simple, single-ended radio implementation over the 240-960 MHz frequency range. A receive sensitivity of up to -118 dBm allows for the creation of communication links with an extended range. The Si4313 RF receiver offers excellent receiver performance in cost-sensitive radio applications. The Si4313 RF receiver provides designers with advanced features to enable low system power consumption by offloading a number of RF-related activities from the system MCU allowing for extended MCU sleep periods. Additional features, such as an automatic wake-up timer, 64-byte RX FIFO and a preamble detection circuit are available.​

Covering all major bands, it combines plug-and-play simplicity with the flexibility needed to handle a wide variety of applications. The compact 3 mm x 3 mm package size combined with a low external BOM count makes the Si4355 both space efficient and cost effective. Excellent sensitivity of -116 dBm allows for a longer operating range, while the low current consumption of 10 mA active and 50 nA standby, provides for superior battery life. By fully integrating all components from the antenna to the GPIO or SPI interface to the MCU, the Si4355 makes realizing this performance in an application easy.
