Silicon Labs HID USB to IR Reference Design

The Silicon Labs plug-and-play HID USB to IR Reference Design demonstrates the ease of use and versatility of the CP2112 USB bridge and Si1143 proximity sensor devices. The Silicon Labs HID USB to IR Reference Design responds to pre-defined touchless swipe gestures (left, right, up, and down) using the Si1143 QuickSense™ proximity and ambient light sensor. The CP2112 HID USB to SMBus/I²C bridge handles the USB communication required for configuring the sensor and transferring the measured data for gesture recognition. Only minimal components are needed. The user interaction with the board is displayed using an application on your PC. This Silicon Labs reference design includes an HID USB to IR Reference Design Bridge Board and a retractable USB cable.

PuzzleSwipe Application

The PuzzleSwipe application demonstrates an infrared gesture control system based on the QuickSense Si1143 proximity sensor and the CP2112 USB to SMBus/I²C connectivity bridge. The Windows PC application enables the user to assemble a puzzle by controlling a "puzzle block" using the IR gesture USB board and touchless gestures.
