Silicon Labs Si86xx digital isolators are the industry's first six-channel 5kV digital isolators. These Silicon Labs six-channel digital isolators offer the highest channel count, performance, and data rate for demanding applications with isolation ratings up to 5kV. Si86xx digital isolators replace optocouplers in target applications requiring robust operation and high levels of insulation protection, such as industrial automation and drives, motor control, and medical systems. Si84xxISO-KIT evaluation kit provides a convenient engineering break out board for simplifying evaluations of the Si84xx isolation product family with three different isolators (2, 4 and 6-channel) as well as a bidirectional I²C compliant isolator. Si84xxISO evaluation board allows designers to evaluate Silicon Lab's family of CMOS ultra-low-power isolators. These isolators are CMOS devices employing RF coupler technology to transmit digital information across an isolation barrier. Very high speed operation at low power levels is achieved. These products are based on Silicon Laboratories' proprietary RF isolation technology and offer shorter propagation delays, lower power consumption, improved noise immunity, smaller installed size, and more stable operation with temperature and age versus opto couplers.




Si86xx Kits

Si86ISOLIN-KIT ISOLinear reference design is intended for designers looking for a complete, high performance alternative to expensive isolation amplifiers used to implement analog signal isolation. This linear isolation reference design includes three different cost/performance-optimized analog isolation circuits, supporting input signal bandwidths from 100 kHz (at 12-bit resolution) to 500kHz (at 10-bits).

Each of the three independent reference circuits modulates an incoming analog signal, transmits the resulting digital signal through an Si86xx digital isolator and then filters the resulting output to reconstruct the analog input signal. Key applications include isolation amplifiers for sensors, ground loop elimination, level shifting and motor control. The heart of the ISOlinear reference design is a 150 Mbps Si86xx digital isolator. The board is populated with an Si8630BD 5kV 3-channel isolator and two Si8630ED 5kV 3-channel isolators.




Si86xxISO-KIT Si86xx isolator evaluation kit includes several 5kV isolators. This board is intended to simplify basic functional testing and engineering validation of various isolation product configurations.
