NEW!  KEMET has expanded the T550 Polymer Hermetic Seal Capacitor series (PHS) to now include 75V capacitors.  These newest T550 PHS caps from KEMET offer the highest voltage and deliverable energy with the lowest DC leakage and ESR in the industry, as well as the highest ripple current capability in their class. KEMET T550 Polymer Hermetic Seal Series (PHS) is a tantalum capacitor with a Ta anode and Ta2O5 dielectric with a conductive organic polymer that replaces the MnO2 or wet electrolyte traditionally used as the capacitor's cathode plate.  The organic polymer characteristic of the T550 Polymer Hermetic Seal Series (PHS) from KEMET results in very low ESR and improved capacitance retention at high frequency and low temperature.  The T550 PHS capacitor can be operated at voltages up to 80% of rated voltage with equivalent or better reliability than the traditional MnO2 or wet tantalum capacitors that operated at 50% of rated voltage. The capacitance range of the T550 capacitor is 100µF to 120µF @ 120 Hz/25ºC and its operating temperature range is -55ºC to 105ºC.
