Freescale TWR-K21F120M Development Board

Freescale's TWR-K21F120M Development Board is designed for the Kinetis K21 and K22 120 MHz 32-Bit ARM® Cortex™-M4 MCUs with Floating Point Unit. The TWR-K21F120M is a Tower MCU Module featuring the MK21FN1M0VMC12 a Kinetis microcontroller in a 121 MAPBGA package with USB 2.0 full-speed on-the-go (OTG) controllers and system security and tamper detection with a secure real-time clock with independent battery supply. It is intended for use in the Freescale Tower System but can also operate stand-alone. An on-board OSJTAG debug circuit provides a JTAG interface and a power supply input through a single micro-USB connector.

  • Dual-role USB interface with Micro-AB USB connector
  • On-board open source JTAG (OSJTAG) circuit with virtual serial port
  • General-purpose Tower plug-in (TWRPI) socket
  • Three-axis accelerometer (MMA8451Q)
  • Four user-controlled status LEDs

  • Push buttons for GPIO interrupts and MCU reset
  • Potentiometer, SD card socket and coin cell battery holder
  • Independent, battery operated power supply for real-time clock and tamper detection modules
