Analog Devices High Speed ADC Evaluation Boards

Analog Devices High Speed Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) Evaluation Boards quickly evaluate the features and performance of selected products. The data capture evaluation kits enable designers to take blocks of digital data from Analog Devices' high-speed ADC evaluation boards.

There are two types of data capture kits available, FPGA-based and FIFO-based. Refer to the section below to determine which data capture kit is required to evaluate the ADC.


HSC-ADC-EVALEZ
  • 256kB FIFO Depth
  • Supports multiple ADC channels via single FMC-HPC interface connector
  • JESD-204B support for up to eight (8) 6.5Gbps Lanes
  • Parallel input at 644MSPS SDR and 1.2GSPS DDR
  • Use with VisualAnalog® software
  • Based on Virtex-6 FPGA
  • Simple USB port interface (2.0)


HSC-ADC-EVALB-DCZ
  • 32kB FIFO Depth
  • Works with single and dual-channel ADCs
  • Use with VisualAnalog® software
  • May require adaptor to interface with some ADC eval boards
  • Allows programming of SPI control
  • Up to 133MSPS Encode Rate on each channel



HSC-ADC-EVALCZ
  • 64kB FIFO Depth
  • Works with single and multi-channel ADCs 
  • Use with VisualAnalog® software
  • Based on Virtex-4 FPGA
  • May require adaptor to interface with some ADC eval boards 
  • Allows programming of SPI control Up to 644MSPS SDR / 800MSPS DDR Encode Rates on each channel
  • DDR Encode Rates on each channel


HSC-ADC-EVALDZ
  • 256kB FIFO Depth
  • JESD-204B support for up to eight (8) 6.5Gbps Lanes

ADI HSC-ADC-EVALEZ High Speed ADC Evaluation Platform

Analog Devices, Inc. HSC-ADC-EVALEZ high speed converter evaluation platform utilizes the latest version of VisualAnalog and an FPGA-based buffer memory board to capture blocks of digital data from the Analog Devices high speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC) evaluation boards. The ADC capture board is connected to the PC through a USB port and is used with VisualAnalog to quickly evaluate the performance of high speed ADCs. Users can view an FFT for a specific analog input and encode rate to analyze SNR, SINAD, SFDR, and harmonic information.

The ADC capture board is easy to set up. Additional equipment needed includes an Analog Devices high speed ADC evaluation board, a signal source, and a clock source. Once the kit is connected and powered, the evaluation is enabled instantly on the PC.

The ADC capture board enables numerous expansion and evaluation possibilities by virtue of its powerful reconfigurable FPGA core.

HSC-ADC-EVALB-DCZ (Dual Channel): FIFO-Based Data Capture Kit

Analog Devices HSC-ADC-EVALB-DCZ dual channel, high speed converter evaluation kit includes the latest version of ADC Analyzer and a buffer memory board to capture blocks of digital data from the Analog Devices, Inc., high speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC) evaluation boards. The FIFO board is connected to the PC through a USB port and is used with ADC Analyzer to quickly evaluate the performance of high speed ADCs. Users can view an FFT for a specific analog input and encode rate to analyze SNR, SINAD, SFDR, and harmonic information.

The evaluation kit is easy to set up. Additional equipment needed includes an Analog Devices high speed ADC evaluation board, a signal source, and a clock source. Once the kit is connected and powered, the evaluation is enabled instantly on the PC.

The HSC-ADC-EVALB-DCZ can be used with single and multi-channel ADCs and converters with demultiplexed digital outputs.
