Multilayer Varistors for Automotive & Non-Automotive Applications

AVX VC & VG Series TransGuard® Multi-Layer Varistors (MLVs) are zinc oxide (ZnO) MLVs that offer excellent temperature stability across the full operating temp range. They do not require pulse de-rating which frees the designer to use much smaller footprints. The VCAS series are excellent choices for use on all automotive systems, from the highest reliability levels of ECU units to the latest low voltage in-cabin electronics. For Load Dump requirements, the AVX VGAS series of Glass Coated Varistors is the preferred choice of many design teams. The glass coating offers additional protection against the harsh transient environment while the superior high energy performance passes even the most rigorous Load Dump waveforms.
