AVX MAV Series
Miniature AC Varistors

AVX designed the MAV Series Miniature AC Varistors for transient suppression in LC resonant circuits intended for signal and power transfer. MAV Series devices provide low loss in the resonant circuit and clamp large amounts of transients in a bidirectional manner. With the ability to handle large transients, the MAV Series devices are useful in low power AC circuit protection. AEC Q200 qualified and ESD rated to 25kV (HBM ESD Level 6), AVX MAV Series Miniature AC Varistors are well-suited for automotive, AC sampling circuitry, transformer secondaries, and GFI module applications. 

New! AVX has expanded the MAV Series to include the 0402 single element varistor.
