Microchip MCP47x6 Single-Channel DACsMicrochip Technology MCP47x6 low-power, single-channel DACs (digital-to-analog converters) feature buffered 8-, 10-, and 12-bit voltage output options and integrated EEPROM. Microchip Technology MCP47x6 DACs are ideal for consumer and industrial applications, including wireless microphones and mp3-player accessories as well as motor control, flow measurement, temperature control, and light control. Integrated EEPROM enables DAC settings to be recalled at power up for added system flexibility. The choice of 8-, 10- or 12-bit resolution provides flexibility with regard to design requirements and cost. Microchip Technology MCP47x6 DACs also provide low power consumption of 210mA for extended battery life.

Microchip MCP4728 Quad 12-bit DACs The Microchip Technology MCP4728 is the industry's first 12-bit Quad Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) to include non-volatile EEPROM, which allows the DAC's configuration to be loaded automatically on start up. The non-volatile EEPROM gives designers the flexibility to program MCP4728 DAC input codes, configuration bits, and I²C address bits to the EEPROM using I²C serial-interface commands. This Microchip Technology Quad DAC holds its data during power-off time and its configuration and outputs are available immediately after power-up. The Microchip Technology MCP4728 also extends battery life by allowing each channel to be individually shut down, which can reduce power consumption to as low as 0.04 microamperes.
