Microchip MCP19114 / MCP19115 Synchronous Low-Side PWM Controllers

Microchip MCP19114 / MCP19115 Synchronous Low-Side PWM Controllers are mid-voltage (4.5-42V) analog-based devices with an integrated 8-bit PIC™ Microcontroller. This Microchip product family combines the performance of a high-speed analog solution, including high-efficiency and fast transient response, with the configurability and communication interface of a digital solution. Combining these solution types creates a new family of devices that maximizes the strengths of each technology to create a more cost-effective, configurable, high-performance power conversion solution.

Microchip MCP1643 1MHz Synchronous Boost LED Constant Current Regulator

Microchip MCP1643 1MHz Synchronous Boost LED Constant Current Regulator is optimized to drive one LED with constant current that operates from one and two-cell alkaline and NiMH/NiCd batteries. This Microchip device can also drive two red/green/yellow series connection LEDs. Low-voltage technology allows the regulator to start up without high-output voltage and load-current overshoot from a low 0.65V input. The device features a typical peak input current limit of 1.5A. High efficiency is accomplished by integrating the low resistance N-Channel Boost switch and synchronous P-Channel switch. All compensation and protection circuitry are integrated to minimize external components. MCP1643 features an output overvoltage protection that limits the output voltage to 5.0V typical, in case the LED fails or output load is disconnected. MCP1643 is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including one- and two-cell Alkaline and NiMH/NiCd portable LED lighting products, LED flashlight and head lamps, rechargeable flashlights, wall LED lamps with motion detectors, and more.

Microchip MGC3130 3D Tracking and Gesture Controller

Microchip MGC3130 3D Tracking and Gesture Controller is the first electrical-field (E-field) based three-dimensional (3D) tracking and gesture controller. The chip is based on Microchip GestIC® technology and enables user command input with natural hand and finger movements in free space. Microchip’s on-chip Colibri Suite minimizes processing needs, reduces system power consumption, and speeds development time. Microchip MGC3130 provides gesture information as well as positional data of the human hand in real time, allowing for the realization of a new generation of user interfaces across various industries. Configurable sensing states provide for mobile-friendly power consumption as low as 150 microwatts.

Microchip PIC12F157x 8-Bit Microcontrollers

Microchip's PIC12F157X 8-Bit Microcontrollers combine the capabilities of 16-bit PWMs with Intelligent Analog to suit a variety of applications. These devices deliver three 16-bit PWMs with independent timers, for applications where high resolution is needed, such as LED lighting, stepper motors, power supplies and other general-purpose applications. The core independent peripherals (16-bit PWMs, Complementary Waveform Generator), Enhanced Universal Synchronous Asynchronous Receiver Transceiver and Intelligent Analog (ADCs, Comparator and DAC) enable closed loop feedback and communication for use in multiple market segments, such as LIN applications.

Microchip MCP8024 Gate Driver

Microchip MCP8024 is a 3-Phase Brushless DC (BLDC) Gate Driver with power module. The MCP8024 device integrates three half-bridge drivers to drive external NMOS/NMOS transistor pairs configured to drive a 3-phase BLDC motor, a comparator, a voltage regulator to provide bias to a companion microcontroller, power monitoring comparators, an overtemperature sensor, two level translators and three operational amplifiers for motor current monitoring. The MCP8024 has three half-bridge drivers capable of delivering a peak output current of 0.5A at 12V for driving high-side and low-side NMOS MOSFET transistors. The drivers have shoot-through, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection. The MCP8024 buck converter is capable of delivering 750 mW of power for powering a companion microcontroller. The buck regulator may be disabled if not used. The on board 5V and 12V low dropout voltage regulators are capable of delivering 20 mA of current. The MCP8024 operation is specified over a temperature range of -40°C to +150°C. Package options include the 40-lead 5x5 QFN and 48-lead 7x7 TQFP.

Microchip M2M Development Platform for CDMA

Microchip Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Development Platform for CDMA allows remote devices to communicate with each other or with a central server over one or more communications networks. M2M is commonly used to monitor or control devices deployed at remote locations without the need of human assistance. M2M is used in a wide variety of applications, such as utility meters, asset tracking, robotics, supply chain management and many others. The Microchip M2M Development Platform for CDMA uses the Verizon Wireless cellular network to communicate with a cloud-based server. Cellular-based technology is ideal for M2M, as it can provide a common communication pathway for remote and mobile devices to exchange information. The Microchip M2M platform provides a variety of sensors and communications technologies to interface with remote devices. The platform sends and receives data to and from a cloud-based server through the CDMA cellular network. The server is accessed by the user through a web portal that can be customized to an individual user's needs. Through the web portal, the user can display, analyze and download data collected by the M2M platform, and send commands to the platform to control remote devices. 

Microchip PIC32 Bluetooth Audio Development Kit

Microchip PIC32 Bluetooth audio development kit (DV320032) showcases a high quality Bluetooth audio platform using the PIC32 microcontroller. The Bluetooth stack on PIC32 supports Advance Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) for high quality Bluetooth audio streaming, player control and metadata information. The development board also supports USB digital audio over Apple Made for iPod (MFi) devices, Google Android Open Accessory (AOA) audio devices, and Samsung USB audio devices. Its flexible design uses plug-in daughter boards with various Bluetooth transceiver modules and audio codec modules designed for the board so the user can easily use different combinations of Bluetooth transceivers and audio codecs. The PIC32 MCU provides Bluetooth capability with an on-chip Bluetooth stack, USB connectivity and high quality audio I2S interface along with many more connectivity options on a single device. Microchip PIC32 Bluetooth audio development kit also enables MFi support through an expansion connector.

Microchip Lighting Communications Development Platforms

Microchip Lighting Communications Development Platforms are full-featured, universal lighting development platforms that provides all of the components required to create a DMX512A or DALI lighting network, offering users a complete “out-of-the-box” experience.  This enables lighting engineers to design intelligent lighting and control systems with a large array of Microchip’s 8, 16 and 32-bit PIC® microcontrollers; and analog, wireless, and human-interface solutions. The Starter Kit includes two main boards, two communications-interface adapters (DALI or DMX512A), one prototype board and the required cables/power supplies. Designers new to lighting communications can quickly and easily start creating connected lighting applications via a simple board-to-board network. These platforms utilizes a single, low-cost 8-bit PIC MCU for the user interface, LED control and communications.  Software development is based on the free Microchip DALI and DMX512A libraries, which are written in C and can be ported to any PIC microcontroller.  Additionally, the kit features the Cree® XLamp® MC-E Color LED, enabling high-lumen output in a small form factor, along with a LEDnLIGHT collimator LLC19N optic and holder by Gaggione for high-quality color mixing and tight beam control. Industry-standard lighting communication connectors and isolation devices are also included.

Microchip EMC118x Temperature Sensor ICs

Microchip Technology EMC118x Temperature Sensor ICs are the world's first family of temp sensors with 1.8V SMBus and I2C communications required for interfacing to the latest generation of smartphones, tablets, and PC chipsets. The integrated low-voltage I/O support on these Microchip temp sensors reduces cost and board space because it is accomplished without an external voltage level shifter. EMC118x devices are also the first temp sensors to use an advanced sample-frequency-hopping filter, which enables temperature-monitoring traces of up to 8 inches in noisy environments with accurate readings. EMC118X devices serve a broad range of applications in the mobile, commercial, and embedded computing markets by combining high-performance features with options for dual, triple, and quad temperature monitoring, along with hardwired system-shutdown settings that software cannot override.

Microchip USB553xB 2/3/4/7-Port SuperSpeed/Hi-Speed USB Hub Controller

Microchip's USB553xB Hi-Speed USB Hub Controllers are 2/3/4/7-port, SuperSpeed (SS) / Hi-Speed (HS), low-power, configurable and fully-complaint with the USB 3.0 Specification. The USB553xB also supports Full Speed (FS) and Low Speed (LS) USB signaling, offering complete coverage of all defined USB operating speeds. The new SuperSpeed hub controller (available on 4 of the 7 ports for the USB5537B) operates in parallel with the USB 2.0 controller, so the 5Gbps SuperSpeed data transfers are not affected by the slower USB 2.0 traffic.

Microchip MCP41HVX1 36V Digital Potentiometers

Microchip's MCP41HVX1 36V Digital Potentiometers are devices that have dual power rails (analog and digital). The analog power rail allows high voltage on the resistor network terminal pins. The analog voltage range is determined by the V+ and V– voltages. The maximum analog voltage is +36V, while the operating analog output minimum specifications are specified from either 10V or 20V. As the analog supply voltage becomes smaller, the analog switch resistances increase, which effect certain performance specifications. The system can be implemented as dual rail (±18V) relative to the digital logic ground (DGND).

Microchip RN-52-EK Bluetooth Audio Module Evaluation Kit is a fully certified Bluetooth® version 3.0 audio module, and fully compatible with Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR. The board has stereo inputs and outputs, access to all GPIOs, and a built-in amplifier for stereo audio output.  It has 6 function buttons to control volume, on/off, and for switching between tracks.  The RN-52-EK has the ability to pair with any Smartphone, stream music, and take hands-free calls.  It also supports multiple Bluetooth profiles, and includes support for codecs such as SBC, aptX®, and AAC.

Microchip PIC12LF1552 8-bit Flash MCUs

Microchip PIC12LF1552 8-bit Flash Microcontrollers are the smallest (2x3mm UDFN package) and lowest-cost PIC® MCUs with hardware I2C support. These Microchip MCUs include a four-channel 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with hardware capacitive voltage divider (CVD) support for capacitive touch sensing. Additionally, these new MCUs feature 3.5 KB Flash program memory, 256 Bytes RAM, a 32MHz internal oscillator, low-voltage operation from 1.8V to 3.6V, and low power consumption for active and sleep currents of 50µA/MHz and 20nA, respectively. The hardware CVD enables a more efficient implementation of capacitive sensing for touch applications. PIC12LF1552 devices are ideal for use in applications such as temperature-monitoring devices, small remote controls, smartphone buttons, room light control, and coffeemakers.

Microchip RN-52 Bluetooth® Audio Module

Microchip's RN52-I/RM Bluetooth® audio module provides a fully integrated solution for delivering high-quality stereo audio in a small form factor. Microchip's RN52-I/RM Bluetooth audio module combines a Class 2 Bluetooth radio with an embedded DSP processor, controlled and configured by simple ASCII commands and GPIO. It integrates RF, a baseband controller, and DSP, making it a complete Bluetooth audio wireless link.  The RN52-I/RM supports HFP/HSP, A2DP, AVRCP, SPP, and iAP profiles and includes support for codecs such as SBC, aptX®, and AAC.  It provides a UART interface, GPIO, stereo speaker outputs, stereo microphone inputs, and a USB port.

Microchip MCP19035 High-Speed Synchronous Buck Controllers

Microchip's MCP19035 High-Speed Synchronous Buck Controllers are a small, analog-based PWM controller family with integrated synchronous MOSFET drivers offering outstanding transient performance. Microchip RN-171 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN Module & Eval Boards

Microchip's RN-171 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN Module is a complete, standalone TCP/IP wireless networking module. It incorporates a 2.4GHz radio, 32-bit SPARC processor, TCP/IP stack, real-time clock, crypto accelerator, power management, and analog sensor interfaces. With its small form factor and extremely low power consumption, the RN-171 is perfect for mobile wireless applications such as asset monitoring, sensors, and portable battery operated devices. The module is preloaded with firmware to simplify integration and minimize application development. In the simplest configuration, the hardware only requires four connections (PWR, TX, RX, and GND) to create a wireless data connection. Additionally, the analog sensor inputs can connect to a variety of sensors such as temperature, audio, motion, and acceleration. The ability to go into deep sleep mode and automatically scan and associate to an access point when awake makes the RN-171 suitable for roaming applications. The RN-171 also includes a built-in HTML client to post serial UART data or sensor data to a web server automatically. Two evaluation boards are also available, the RN-171-EK and the RN-171-PICtail.

Microchip PICtail™ WiFly Radio Module Evaluation Boards

Microchip's PICtail™ WiFly Radio Module Evaluation Boards are designed for testing and development of the RN-131 and RN-171 complete, standalone wireless LAN access devices. These eval boards work seamlessly with the Microchip Technology PIC18 Explorer Development Board. They plug right into the PICtail™ modular connector on the PIC18 Explorer Board and add wireless functionality to PIC18-based microcontroller designs. The evaluation boards are preloaded with firmware to simplify integration and minimize application development. In the simplest configuration, the hardware only requires four connections (PWR, TX, RX, and GND) to create a wireless data connection. The microcontroller can communicate with the boards via the UART and SPI interfaces, and can drive LEDs, wake the boards, and reset them. The evaluation boards are updated and controlled with a simple ASCII command language. Once the boards are set up, they can scan to find an access point, associate, authenticate, and connect over any Wi-Fi network.

Microchip 23LCV512 / 23LCV1024 Serial SRAM

Microchip 23LCV512 and 23LCV1024 are 512Kb and 1Mb Serial SRAM devices accessed via a simple SPI compatible serial bus. These Microchip SRAM devices support unlimited reads and writes to the memory array and support data backup via external battery/coin cell connected to VBAT. The bus signals required are a clock input plus separate data in and data out lines. Access to the device is controlled through a Chip Select input. Additionally, SDI (Serial Dual Interface) is supported if an application needs faster data rates.

Microchip RN-340M WiFly Serial Adapter

Microchip's RN-340M WiFly Serial Adapter supplies a serial-to-Wi-Fi bridge, providing wireless connectivity to any legacy system that supports serial communication. Connected to a remote host, the adapter transfers data read or written to the serial interface to a remote application such as an iPhone app, data logger, or PC control console. The adapter supports Wi-Fi infrastructures or ad hoc networking, which allows the use of existing, low-cost wireless connectivity while remotely connecting to any WiFly serial adapter in the world. By allowing TCP/IP sockets, applications can control and monitor hundreds of Wi-Fi serial adapters remotely distributed across a building LAN or campus WAN. The RN-340M-W offers a wire antenna.

Microchip RN-SRL USB to 3V & 5V Serial UART Dongles & TTL Bridge Cables - INACTIVE

Microchip's RN-SRL USB to 3V & 5V Serial UART Dongles are USB-to-Serial TTL bridge board modules (PCB Assembly) designed to accommodate a quick and easy means to interconnect to devices having TTL level serial interfaces which require conversion to USB. The on-board bridge controller is either the PROLIFIC 64-bit PL2303HXD (3V) or FTDI's FT232R (5V) USB-to-Serial UART device which controls the relevant USB signal and protocol requirements. The Roving Networks RN-SRL USB to 3V & 5V Serial UART Dongles are each comprised of 2 main components, a USB type-A connector as the interface to the outside world, and small form factor PCB requiring soldered-wire connections to the mating device(s). The RoHS compliant PCB assembly is configured with a fixed TTL output level of +3.3V or +5V. Roving Networks RN-SRL USB-to-Serial TTL Bridge Cables are available in black and translucent overmold USB-A male connectors, having connection-ready 6 conductor tinned-leads at the opposite end. Each cable is made up to a 6 foot length (1.8m), with a heat-shrink finish treatment.

Microchip RN-174 WiFly GSX Super Modules & Development Kit

Microchip's RN-174 WiFly GSX Super Modules are field ready, Wi-Fi Alliance certified 802.11 b/g prototyping platforms. These boards have the flexibility to connect directly to a standard RS232 interface or through the TTL UART interface to embedded processors. The Microchip RN-174 WiFly GSX Super Modules each contain a battery boost circuit which makes it possible to power the boards using two AA batteries (input voltage can go down to down to 2.0V DC when using the battery boost circuit). This makes the RN-174 perfect for battery-powered applications such as sensors, asset tracking, etc. The status LEDs and jumpers enable rapid prototyping and integrating into existing systems.

Microchip's RN-174 WiFly GSX Super Modules are based on the Microchip RN-171 WiFly-GSX module. The WiFly GSX module incorporates a 2.4GHz radio, processor, full TCP/IP stack, real-time clock, FTP, DHCP, DNS, and HTML client protocols. These modules support adhoc and enterprise networking. Additionally, the analog sensor interface provides direct connections to send temperature, acceleration, and other analog data without requiring an external microprocessor. The WiFly GSX module is programmed and controlled with a simple ASCII command language. Once the WiFly GSX is setup it can automatically scan to find an access point, associate, authenticate, and connect over any Wi-Fi network. Microchip's WiFly GSX 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN Module is a stand alone complete TCP/IP wireless networking module. Due to its small form factor and extremely low power consumption, the WiFly GSX 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN Module is perfect for mobile wireless applications such as asset monitoring, sensors and portable battery operated devices. This Microchip device incorporates a 2.4 GHz radio, 32-bit SPARC processor, TCP/IP stack, real-time clock, crypto accelerator, power management and analog sensor interfaces. The WiFly GSX 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN Module is ultra-low power (4µA sleep, 38mA Rx and 120mA Tx at 0dBm) and has a high throughput (921 Kbps Tx, 500Kbps Rx data rate with TCP/IP and WPA2 over UART, up to 2Mbps over SPI slave). The RN-174 is a development board containing the RN-171 module, status LEDs and power regulator.

Roving Networks RN-370 WiFly Serial Adapter

The Roving Networks RN-370 WiFly Serial Adapter supports RS-232 interfaces. When connected to a remote host, the Roving Networks WiFly Serial Adapter transfers data read or written to the serial interface to a remote application such as an iPhone app, data logger, or PC control console. The WiFly Serial Adapter transfers data over a reliable TCP/IP socket. 802.11 b/g infrastructure or adhoc networking has the advantage of using existing, low cost wireless connectivity and being able to connect remotely to any WiFly serial adapter in the world. This Roving Networks device is powered by two AAA batteries, an external AC to 5VDC power brick, or 5VDC on pin 9 of the DB9 connector. The Microchip WiFly GSX Super Module SuRF Board includes status LEDs and jumpers that enable rapid prototyping and integrating into existing systems. This Roving Networks super module is built upon the RN-131G WiFly GSX module, which incorporates a 2.4GHz radio processor, Full TCP/IP stack, real-time clock, FTP, DHCP, DNS, and web server and is the smallest, lowest power 802.11 b/g module available.
