Standex-Meder Electronics MK08 & MK25 Series Reed Sensors
Standex-Meder Electronics MK08 & MK25 Series Reed Sensors are intrinsically safe and are Ex-approved according to ATEX as proximity sensors. The MK08 proximity sensors are magnetically operated Reed Switches supplied with oil-resistant cable. The sensor should be mounted on a fixed surface with the actuating magnet on the moving surface. With the MK25's non-contact switching and EX approval it's the safest way for switching in explosive environments. Simple mounting takes place with a standard drilling in a steel plate up to 4mm. Typical applications include the petrochemical and mining industries, filling stations, hazardous areas, industrial appliances, selector or mode switches in machinery, tank systems, and applications with a difficult environment.
Standex-Meder Electronics MRX Reed Relays
Standex-Meder Electronics MRX Reed Relays are used for the galvanic
separation of intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits
with an Ex-approval by PTB-01 ATEX 2050 U. The MRX series is also
suitable for circuits of the category "ia" due to its peak voltage of
375. Up to 4 form A switches or 1 form C switch are available according to the different castings. Typical applications for these are test and
measurement, process automatization in the mining industry, chemical
industry and refineries.
Standex-Meder Electronics HM Series Reed Relays
Standex-Meder Electronics HM Series Reed Relays are PCB-mount, high voltage reed relays. The series is encapsulated in epoxy and offers many pinout options. High voltage wires are available for direct wiring. Applications for the HM Series Reed Relays from MEDER include high voltage test leads, cable testers, and medical equipment (RF surgery).
Standex-Meder Electronics H Series Reed Relays
Standex-Meder Electronics H Series Reed Relays are high voltage relays providing up to 10 kVDC switching and 15 kVDC breakdown voltage contact to coil. The coil insulation meets UL94V-0. PCB pinout is provided for the coil only; the switch contacts are available for direct wiring (sky wiring.). The H Series Reed Relays from Standex-Meder is available with both Form A and Form B options, and are suitable for all high voltage applications.

Standex-Meder Electronics MK27 is a magnetically activated Reed Sensor, available in five AT ranges (A,B,C,D,E). The MK27 Reed Sensor from Standex-Meder Electronics is supplied as a set, complete with the M27 actuator magnet. The set, designed for screw mounting, is protected in a robust aluminum housing. Standex-Meder Electronics Reed Sensor/Magnet Design Evaluation Kits were
designed by engineers for engineers. The Evaluation Kits take the guess work out of sensor design. Standex-Meder Electronics proprietary 3-D magnetic mapping equipment was used to accurately map
out the activation distances in mm for 5 different positions and movement
configurations of each sensor, along with its corresponding magnet. 3-D actuation illustrations are provided for simple sensor
operation guidelines.
Standex-Meder Electronics MMS Reed Sensors
The MMS Reed Sensors from Standex-Meder Electronics are ultra-small magnetically actuated SPST reed sensors that require no power. They are sealed in a high shock resistance SMD package measuring
only 4.8mm [0.188"] x 2.05mm [0.484] x H1.2mm [0.047"]. Standex-Meder Electronics MMS sensor is designed for low voltage and low power switching devices up to 3 VDC maximum. Applications include medical pacemakers and insulin pumps; telecommunications; and PDA and cell phones.

The DIP Series Reed Relays from Standex-Meder Electronics are compatible with all current brands of DIP relays
and are available in both high and low-profile packages. Standex-Meder Electronics DIP
Series offers other significant features such as a very compact design,
standard pin configurations, availability of a diode version, IC-pin
compatibility, 4.25 kVDC breakdown voltage, and UL approval as well as a
high resistance option. In addition, these reed relays have a longer
mechanical and electrical life than electromechanical relays because
they have no wearing parts and are hermetically sealed. DIP Series
Reed Relays also can switch about 10 times faster than
electromechanical relays with similar ratings. They come in very small,
industry-standard packaging, allowing
for simple PCB population while their internal shielding allows them to

The SIL Series Single-In-Line Reed Relays from Standex-Meder Electronics reduce the required space to a minimum. Standex-Meder Electronics SIL Series Reed Relays require only half the PCB area of the DIP or DIL Series and offer all the advantages of Reed Technology. SIL Series features include breakdown voltage coil/contact of up to 4.25 kVDC, high resistance coils of up to 2000 Ω at 12 VDC, contact form 1A, 1B or 1C, availability of magnetic shield and other coil resistance versions, and a coax screen option with Z=50 Ohm impedance.
