Meder electronic Reed Sensor/Magnet Design Evaluation Kits

MEDER electronic's Reed Sensor/Magnet Design Evaluation Kits were designed by engineers for engineers. The Evaluation Kits take the guess work out of sensor design. MEDER's proprietary 3-D magnetic mapping equipment was used to accurately map out the activation distances in mm for 5 different positions and movement configurations of each sensor, along with its corresponding magnet. 3-D actuation illustrations are provided for simple sensor operation guidelines.

MEDER electronic MMS Reed Sensors

The MMS Reed Sensors from MEDER electronic are ultra-small magnetically actuated SPST reed sensors that require no power. They are sealed in a high shock resistance SMD package measuring only 4.8mm [0.188"] x 2.05mm [0.484] x H1.2mm [0.047"]. MEDER's MMS sensor is designed for low voltage and low power switching devices up to 3 VDC maximum. Applications include medical pacemakers and insulin pumps; telecommunications; and PDA and cell phones.

MEDER Electronic DIP Series Reed Relays

The DIP Series Reed Relays from MEDER Electronic are compatible with all current brands of DIP relays and are available in both high and low-profile packages. MEDER's DIP Series offers other significant features such as a very compact design, standard pin configurations, availability of a diode version, IC-pin compatibility, 4.25 kVDC breakdown voltage, and UL approval as well as a high resistance option. In addition, these reed relays have a longer mechanical and electrical life than electromechanical relays because they have no wearing parts and are hermetically sealed. DIP Series Reed Relays also can switch about 10 times faster than electromechanical relays with similar ratings. They come in very small, industry-standard packaging, allowing for simple PCB population while their internal shielding allows them to be stacked in very close matrices. Applications that utilize DIP Series Reed Relays are Test & Measurement, Telecommunications, and Security.

Meder Single-In-Line Reed Relays - SIL Series

The SIL Series Single-In-Line Reed Relays from Meder Electronics reduce the required space to a minimum. Meder's SIL Series Reed Relays require only half the PCB area of the DIP or DIL Series and offer all the advantages of Reed Technology. SIL Series features include breakdown voltage coil/contact of up to 4.25 kVDC, high resistance coils of up to 2000 Ω at 12 VDC, contact form 1A, 1B or 1C, availability of magnetic shield and other coil resistance versions, and a coax screen option with Z=50 Ohm impedance.

Meder Electronic's Metal Detection Reed Sensors - MK02 Series

Meder Electronics is proud to introduce its new line of PCB-mountable MK02 Series Metal Detection Reed Sensors in addition to the screw flange mountable version. Currently Meder's only series that works like a metal detection component, MK02 Sensors have a patented design that is used to detect the presence of magnetically conductive metals, eliminating the need for a permanent magnet used in a conventional reed sensor to actuate the reed switch. Meder Electronics is now offering four additional PCB throughhole mount versions of MK02 Series non-contact position and proximity sensors. The MK02 Series requires no power to operate and is an excellent alternative to inductive proximity sensors. MEDER electronic HE Series High Voltage Reed Relays

The MEDER electronic HE Series High Voltage Reed Relays are for PCB mounting and suitable for switching up to 10 kVDC and breakdown voltage up to 15 kVDC. The HE Series is available in Form A and Form B switching configurations and is available with high voltage cables. The MEDER electronic HE Series High Voltage Reed Relays feature power switching up to 50W, special pin outs, various case sizes, and air- and creeping-distances ≥ 26mm. Ideal for high voltage test sets, cable testers, and medical equipment (RF surgery).

MEDER electronic MK24 Series Reed Sensors

The MEDER electronic MK24 Series Reed Sensors are the smallest, magnetically operated reed proximity switches for SMD mounting and is available in three lead designs: flat, straight leads for PCB slot mounting; flat, bend SMD leads; and J-leads. The MK24 Series Reed Sensors are supplied in 16mm Tape & Reel package according to IEC 286/part 3 suitable for auto-placement. MEDER electronic designed the MK24 in a small dimension: 5.0 x 2.2 x 1.7mm and is excellent for low power operations (no external power required for sensor operation). Ideal for PCBs where all components are surface mounted, telecommunication applications (hook switch in mobile and hard-wired phones), switching elements in microphones, medical technologies, and rotary encoders.

The MK23 Series Open Reed Sensors for SMD Mounting from Meder electronic are magnetically operated with open reed proximity switches. Meder electronic's MK23 Series Open Reed Sensors for SMD Mounting feature reed switches without moulding case, flat or round leads in three different designs, a tape and reel package, four operate sensitivities, five different switch models, and no external power required for operation. This series is ideal for applications requiring single or multi-point position or liquid level sensing.
