Standex-Meder Electronics MK08 & MK25 Series Reed Sensors are intrinsically safe and are Ex-approved according to ATEX as proximity sensors. The MK08 proximity sensors are magnetically operated Reed Switches supplied with oil-resistant cable. The sensor should be mounted on a fixed surface with the actuating magnet on the moving surface. With the MK25's non-contact switching and EX approval it's the safest way for switching in explosive environments. Simple mounting takes place with a standard drilling in a steel plate up to 4mm. Standex-Meder Electronics MRX Reed Relays are used for the galvanic
separation of intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits
with an Ex-approval by PTB-01 ATEX 2050 U. The MRX series is also
suitable for circuits of the category "ia" due to its peak voltage of
