160V Ultracapacitor Module
Maxwell Technologies 160V Ultracapacitor module is rated for 160V and 5.8F capacitance. The 160V Ultracapacitor module features passive balancing and a -40°C to 65°C temperature range. Applications range from wind pitch control for wind energy sytems, short-term UPS, to other renewable energy systems.
Ultracapacitors store and discharge energy very quickly and are being used in thousands of different applications and considered in a host of future applications. Ultracapacitors complement a primary energy source like an internal combustion engine, fuel cell or battery, which cannot repeatedly provide quick bursts of power.
Maxwell Technologies Ultracapacitor Modules
Maxwell Technologies Ultracapacitor Modules are specifically
designed for heavy duty applications such as automotive subsystems,
hybrid vehicle drive trains, telecommunications and industrial
applications. Ultracapacitor Modules from Maxwell Technologies offer
customers a wide range of choices to meet their energy storage and power
delivery requirements that require the lowest equivalent series
resistance and highest efficiency available. Maxwell Ultracapacitors
perform reliably for more than one million discharge-recharge cycles.
The cells used in the modules operate at 2.7 volts, enabling them to
store more energy and deliver more power per unit volume than any other
commercially available ultracapacitor products.
Maxwell Technologies Ultracapacitor Series
Maxwell Technologies Ultracapacitor family of
products, which includes the PC10 and HC Series, works with the
batteries in applications that require a constant low power discharge
for continual function, but a pulse power for peak loads. These
ultracapacitors are highly useful in applications requiring a pulse of
energy that cannot be efficiently provided by a battery or power supply
alone. The devices' ability to relieve batteries of peak power functions
extends battery life and reduces battery size and cost. Maxwell's PC10
and HC Series are also ideal sources of back-up power and provide
short-term power availability, allowing critical information and
functions to remain available during dips, sags, and outages in a power
supply or battery change. Maxwell's PC10 and HC Series have a cycle life
of 500,000 cycles, and like all ultracapacitor products, are capable of
accepting charges at the identical rate of discharge. Available in
three board mounting configurations, both PC10 and HC cells can be
rapidly charged and discharged multiple times, making them among the
most energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective ways
to store energy.
Maxwell Technologies HC Series Ultracapacitors
Maxwell Technologies HC Series Ultracapacitors / Supercapacitors
feature ultra-low internal resistance (down to 5mΩ) and two-pin radial
lead. With a 500,000 cycle, 10-year life capability, the RoHS compliant
HC Series is resistant against reverse polarity. The Maxwell HC Series
Ultracapacitors / Supercapacitors are useful for consumer electronics,
industrial and automation, portable power tools, renewable energy
systems, and short term UPS and telecom systems.
NEW! 1F and 3.3F versions.
Maxwell K2 Series 650F - 3,000F Ultracapacitors
Maxwell K2 Series 650F - 3,000F Ultracapacitors / Supercapacitors
provide 2.7V with an ultra-low internal resistance and the highest
power performance available. The K2 Ultracapacitors feature a
cylindrical design and an electrostatic storage capability that can
cycle a million charges and discharges without performance degradation.
The Maxwell K2 Series 650F - 3,000F Ultracapacitors / Supercapacitors
cells are useful for automotive subsystems, medical devices, UPS/backup
power, and wind turbine pitch control, as well as many other
applications which require a pulse of energy that cannot be efficiently
provided by a battery or power supply alone (can work in tandem with
batteries). Mounting Kit available.
Maxwell Ultracapacitor Modules
Maxwell Technologies offers Ultracapacitor / Supercapacitor Modules for
a wide range of industrial, transportation, and heavy duty
applications. The 15-volt ultracapacitor is designed to provide
cost-effective solutions for UPS, telecommunications, and other lighter
duty industrial electronics applications (500,000 discharge-recharge
cycles). Maxwell's ultracapacitors / supercapacitors are available in
16-, 48-, and 75-Volt modules offering over 1 million duty cycles. These
ultracapacitor modules are useful for a diverse range of energy storage
and power delivery requirements, such as automotive, transportation,
UPS, renewable energy, telecommunications, mining, heavy duty
transportation and equipment, as well as applications operating under
harsh temperature, humidity, and vibration conditions.
Maxwell Technologies PC10 Ultracapacitor Series
Maxwell Technologies PC10 Ultracapacitor Series, UL
recognized, works in tandem with batteries for applications that require
both a constant low power discharge and a pulse of power for peak
loads, such as consumer electronics, automotive subsystems, wireless
transmission, medical devices, and many others. The PC10 Ultracapacitors
feature over 500,000 duty cycles with a 10-year life capability.
Hermetically sealed with a stainless steel low-profile prismatic design,
the PC10's have higher energy than electrolytic capacitors and higher
power than batteries. The Maxwell PC10 Ultracapacitor is an ideal source
of back-up and pulse power, as well as providing extended power
availability during dips, sags, and outages. Now available is the
high-temperature PC10HT Series.
