Linx Technologies makes wireless simple by developing and manufacturing wireless products that are easy for engineers of all skill levels to use. The company's RF modules, remote controls, evaluation kits and master development systems feature straightforward hardware configuration and clear documentation. Linx products make it simple for engineers and hobbyists to integrate wireless features without the hassle and expense of engineering RF functionality from scratch.
Linx Technologies KH3 RF Transmitters are designed for remote control/command and keyless entry applications. It combines an optimized RF transmitter with an on-board encoder. A reliable wireless link is created when it is paired with a matching KH3 series receiver/decoder module. The link is capable of transmitting the status of 8 parallel inputs over 3000 feet. Ten address links provide transmitter uniqueness. No external RF components are required, except for an antenna.
Linx Technologies SMA & RP-SMA RF Connectors are now available in gold plated versions along with their popular nickel version. These SMA connectors provide repeatable electrical performance from DC to 12.4GHz. They are available in a variety of mounting styles and with end crimps for RG58, RG174 and RG178 cables. The Reverse Polarity SMA Connectors (RP-SMA) have the same tooling as standard SMA connectors, but the center contacts are reversed to comply with FCC Part 15 requirements. Reverse Polarity SMA connectors are common in many of today’s electronic devices because they are small, inexpensive and provide a secure, robust connection.
Linx Technologies TT 900MHz Remote Control Transceiver is designed for reliable bi-directional, long-range remote control applications. It consists of a highly optimized Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) RF transceiver and integrated remote control transcoder. The FHSS system allows higher power and, therefore, longer range than narrowband radios. The TT Series transceiver has obtained modular approval for the United States and Canada. Operating in the 902 to 928MHz frequency band, the module is capable of generating +12.5dBm and achieves a typical sensitivity of -113dBm. Primary settings are hardware-selectable, which eliminates the need for an external microcontroller or other digital interface. For advanced features, optional software configuration is provided by a UART interface; however, no programming is required for basic operation. Housed in a compact reflow-compatible SMD package, the transceiver requires no external RF components except an antenna, which greatly simplifies integration and lowers assembly costs.
Linx Technologies R4 Series GPS Receiver Module is a self-contained high-performance GPS receiver with an on-board LNA and SAW filter. Based on the SiRFstar IV chipset, it provides exceptional sensitivity, even in dense foliage and urban canyons. The module's very low power consumption helps maximize runtimes in battery powered applications. With over 200,000 effective correlators, the R4 Series receiver can acquire and track up to 48 satellites simultaneously in just seconds, even at the lowest signal levels. Housed in a compact reflow-compatible SMD package, the receiver requires no programming or additional RF components (except an antenna) to form a complete GPS solution. These features, along with the module’s standard NMEA data output, make the R4 Series easy to integrate, even by engineers without previous RF or GPS experience. The Linx R4 Series GPS modules offer a simple, efficient, and cost-effective method of adding GPS capabilities to any product.
The R4 Series GPS module can be used as a drop-in replacement for the existing Linx SG Series GPS module, adding SiRF-IV technology to existing designs at a lower cost. The R4 Series offers an operating voltage range from 3.0V to 3.6V, while providing a typical 0.43mA hibernate mode for extending battery life in low power applications.
Linx Technologies F4 Series GPS Receiver Module is a self-contained high-performance GPS receiver with an on-board LNA and SAW filter. Based on the SiRFstar IV chipset, it provides exceptional sensitivity, even in dense foliage and urban canyons. The module's very low power consumption helps maximize runtimes in battery-powered applications. With over 200,000 effective correlators, the F4 Series receiver can acquire and track up to 48 satellites simultaneously in just seconds, even at the lowest signal levels. Housed in a compact reflow-compatible SMD package, the receiver requires no programming or additional RF components (except an antenna) to form a complete GPS solution. These features, along with the module's standard NMEA data output, make the F4 Series easy to integrate, even by engineers without previous RF or GPS experience. The Linx F4 Series GPS modules offer a simple, efficient, and cost-effective method of adding GPS capabilities to any product.
The F4 Series GPS module is ideal for GPS applications where Low-Power is required. With an operating voltage of 1.8V and low power modes such as Trickle-Power and Push-to-Fix, the F4 module will hibernate with current draw as low as 20uA. Using the supplied software commands, the F4 Series GPS module also offers GPIO capability, which allows the application software to monitor and control events without the need of a microcontroller.
Linx Technologies DS Series Remote Control Encoder/Decoder is designed for Infrared or RF remote control applications. When set as an encoder, the DS encodes 8 data bits and 10 address bits for transmission. When set as a decoder, the DS compares the address bits in the received packet with its local address. If the bits match, then the received data bits are output on the data lines. The DS is a replacement for many applications using the Holtek® HT640 and HT658. There are some functional differences that should be reviewed to ensure backwards compatibility.
Linx Technologies µSP Series MicroSplatch Antennas are embedded quarter-wave chips available in the 403MHz, 418MHz, 433MHz, 868MHz, 916MHz and 2.4GHz bands. The Linx Technologies µSP Series MicroSplatch Antennas are designed for cost sensitive applications, ideal for remote controls, pagers, and compact data transmission devices. The antenna chip is reflow compatible and withstands temperatures up to 260°C.
Linx Technologies NT Series Transceiver Module is designed to send and receive digital data in the 902MHz to 928MHz band over distances of up to 3,000 feet (line of sight). Its True Transparency™ interface lets the user create a wireless wire for use with nonstandard data rates, custom protocols, or protocols such as PWM and Manchester. The module features best-in-class receive sensitivity (up to −113dBm) and low power consumption (only 19.2mA in receive mode and 15.2mA in transmit mode at 0dBm). Housed in a compact reflow-compatible SMD package, the transceiver requires no external RF components except an antenna, which greatly simplifies integration and lowers assembly costs. To aid rapid development, the NT Series transceiver is available as part of a Master Development System. The system comes with two development boards for benchmarking and prototyping, each of which is populated with a transceiver.
