The Laird Technologies Wireless M2M Solutions WLM400 and WLM402 802.11b/g wireless LAN modules are ideal for all wireless video streaming applications. The WLM400 and WLM402 deliver a new level of performance to embedded designers requiring the high data rates available from Wi-Fi networks. These modules remove the dilemma of choosing between data throughout that requires a host processor or the simplicity of a module with embedded drivers and TCP/IP stack that has low throughput. The WLM400 and WLM402 offer simplicity of use and ultimate data throughput by utilizing a powerful ARM9 application processor that provides a streaming channel that delivers in excess of 15 Mbps real data throughput with a 54 Mbps 802.11g link that uses minimal power consumption.

DVK-WLM400 / DVK-WLM402 Development Kits

The Laird Technologies Wireless M2M Solutions WLM400 and WLM402 development kits make it easy to evaluate these WLM40x modules and incorporate them into designs. These Dev Kits consists of a WLM400 / WLM402 WISM+ (Wi-Fi Intelligent Serial Module) wireless module mounted to a support board (Dev Kit) which allows you to connect a PC to the WISM+ using your choice of interface. A configuration/performance tool is provided so you can set up custom WISM+ configurations, then and measure the performance of the WISM+ wireless module from Laird Technologies. The DVK-WLM402 and DVK-WLM400 include: A Dev Kit PCB with a WLM400 (FCC/IC) or a WLM402 (CE) WISM+ mounted, two antennas installed on the Dev Kit and connected to the WISM+ antenna ports, 120VAC/7.5VDC wall brick power adapter, USB cable “type A to mini” for WISM+ Dev Kit connection to connect to a PC, and RS-232 serial cable (female-female) for WISM+ COM port connection to a PC serial port.
