Laird Technologies EMI Absorbers come in two types: magnetic and foam. Laird Technologies Magnetic EMI Absorbers are thin (.1 to 3 mm.) polymeric materials filled with magnetic particles that have high permeability and high permittivity, which are both very effective in eliminating high frequency EMI. Laird Technologies Foam EMI Absorbers are based upon open celled foam impregnated with a carbon coating, which makes the resultant product lossy at microwave frequencies, acting like a free space resistor to incoming electromagnetic energy. These foam products range from 3.2 mm to 6.4 mm.
Laird Technologies EcE 72 Conductive Silicone Elastomers
Laird Technologies EcE 72 Conductive Silicone Elastomers are made of nickel/graphite filled silicone, which can be molded, extruded, or formed into sheets and then die-cut. EcE 72 Conductive Silicone Elastomers have excellent shielding properties and conductivity. Laird Technologies EcE 72 Conductive Silicone Elastomers have excellent sealing at temperature extremes, are ozone resistant, and have a long shelf life. EcE 72 Conductive Silicone Elastomers have been developed to meet UL94 V-0 standard (UL report pending).
