Texas Instruments BQ500110 / BQ500210 Wireless Power Transmitter Manager
Texas Instruments bq500110 and bq500210 are Qi compliant wireless power dedicated digital controllers that integrate the logic functions required to control wireless power transfer in a single channel WPC compliant contactless charging base station. The TI bq500110 Gen 1 and bq500210 Gen 2 Wireless Power Transmitter Managers are intelligent devices that periodically ping the surrounding environment for available devices to be powered, monitor all communication from the device being wirelessly powered, and adjusts power applied to the transmitter coil per feedback received from the powered device. The TI bq500110 and bq500210 also manage the fault conditions associated with the power transfer and controls the operating modes status indicator. These QI compliant Wireless Power Transmitter Managers also support Parasitic Metal Object Detection that allows the controllers to protect themselves and the power receiver from excessive power loss and heat associated with parasitic metal objects placed in the power transfer path.
