VCC's FLX Series Flexfire
™
flexible LED light pipes provide the simplest method of transmitting light from a PCB-mounted (through hole or surface mount)

to a front panel. When compared to competing
flexible light pipe
products that offer limited lens options,
VCC's FLX Series
offers wider design capabilities for various lens styles, including wide-angle, moisture-sealed, and high-profile.
FLX Series Flexfire™ flexible light pipes come in pre-cut lengths of 2", 4", 6", 8", and 12" with easy-to-use
LED
interfacing for 3mm through-hole and surface-mount
LEDs. These
flexible light pipes provide numerous advantages over traditional copper wire solutions, including immunity to EMI. The
VCC Flexfire™
also does not conduct or transfer ESD pulses.
The
FLX
Series consists of an optical fiber attached to a
VCC
lens coupler that then firmly attaches to a variety of
VCC
lenses. This flexibility makes it possible for the design engineer to select from many different lens colors and styles. Currently, the
FLX Series
works with the CLB300, CLF280, CLR301, and SQB400 panel lenses. New! VCC has expanded its line of Flexfire™ FLX Series Flexible LED Light Pipes to include light pipes for a smaller 3mm footprint. The FLX3 Light Pipes are also available in lengths of 2", 4", 6", 8", and 12", and work with the SMB 200, SML 190, and SMQ 250 panel lenses.
