TE Connectivity's SOLARLOK® Connector System provides simple, fast, and reliable connections from solar modules with different insulation diameters to DC / AC converters. The male and female cable coupler was designed for high voltage/current/temperature and mating safety is provided by polarity keyed housings with multiple plugging and unplugging cycles. The squeeze-to-release connections compliment the robust product specifications.

TE Connectivity SOLARLOK Locking Collar

Tyco Electronics SOLARLOK Safety Collar The TE Connectivity SOLARLOK locking collar connector accessory is applied to the fully mated cable coupler male and female connectors . This connector locking collar will be required by NEC 2008 code in any accessible photovoltaic locations where mated cable couplers will be exposed. This connector latch locking collar helps to prevent any access to the cable coupler release feature thus making accidental disconnects a thing of the past. In order to release the connector latch locking collar , a simple flathead screwdriver will need to be inserted into the screwdriver slot, lifted and slid back to expose the connector squeeze to release wings. This action will open the locking accessory and qualify as a "tooled extraction."

TE Connectivity Grounding Solutions

TE Connectivity has expanded its line of SOLARLOK photovoltaic ( PV ) interconnect products with SOLKLIP and SOLKLAMP grounding products. The electrical and mechanical properties of these products will meet the tough requirements for PV module grounding applications as established by UL and provides quick and convenient grounding for solar modules and related products.

Tyco Electronics SOLKLIP Grounding Connectors SOLKLIP grounding connectors have four points of electrical contact and are for use with 12-10 AWG uninsulated copper wire. SOLKLIP grounding connectors can be re-used up to 5 times. The TE SOLKLIP ground terminal supplements the existing TE SOLARLOK product portfolio and offers the electrician yet another valuable component for simple and fast wiring of a PV-system.

The grounding assembly consists of a wire bolt (wire slot on one end and threaded post on the other), wire binding hex nut, and mounting hex washer nut.The grounding assembly is used with metal-framed photovoltaic ( solar ) panels and related products that require grounding for safety reasons.

The ZKLA flexible, dual wall, halogen free and cross linked solar wire offers long term stability with TÜV UL approval. Its outstanding features include: high resistance against environmental conditions such as humidity , UV - radiation and ozone . National Electric Code (NEC) demands proper marking and labeling of solar systems . TE Connectivity labels are designed to withstand harsh outdoor environments for solar , wind , and general use. The labels can be exposed to rain, intense sunlight, UV rays, snow, ice, cold temperature, sand, salt spray and condensation from fog. Solar Rating Labels

The Solar Rating Labels are designed to meet the industry needs by providing a white printable area to add important system information such as maximum system voltage and system current . The same robust materials are used in the construction of these labels as with the standard solar identification labels noted above. The system rating data can be added using thermal transfer ink ribbon and printer or by using an indelible marker. For best results, it is recommended to use the UV resistant clear over-laminate label over the printed label for further protection.

Combiner Box


The SOLARLOK® Residential Combiner Box from TE Connectivity is used to combine up to five solar panel strings into one output string to the DC/AC converter. TE 's SOLARLOK is the only UL-listed Combiner Box on the market and meets the National Electric Code (NEC) requirements for series fusing of photovoltaic (PV) modules (solar panels) due to its preterminated, connectorized weather-resistant enclosure. It is also IP65/NEMA4X rated for environmental protection. Other features of this combiner box are factory pre-wiring, pre-loaded SOLARLOK polarized male housings which accept plug & play female housings for faster installation and quick-connect/disconnect, four knockouts offering choice of mounting directions, and ground bolt option. In addition, the SOLARLOK Residential Combiner Box is made from UL F1 rated polycarbonate material and has a maximum voltage of 600V and maximum output current of 75A, with a maximum current per string of 15A.
