NXP JN5148-001 Wireless MCUs and Modules
NXP Semiconductors JN5148-001
ultra-low power, high-performance
wireless microcontrollers
target ZigBee PRO networking applications.
NXP Semiconductors JN5148-001 MCUs
feature an enhanced 32-bit RISC processor offering high coding efficiency through variable width instructions, a multi-stage instruction pipeline, and low-power operation with programmable clock speeds. These
NXP wireless MCUs
also include a 2.4GHz
IEEE 802.15.4
compliant transceiver, 128kB of ROM, 128kB of RAM, and a rich mix of analog and digital peripherals. The large memory footprint allows the
NXP Semiconductors JN5148
to run a network stack and an embedded application or in a co-processor mode. The operating current is below 18mA, allowing operation direct from a coin cell. Enhanced peripherals include low power pulse counters running in sleep mode designed for pulse counting in AMR applications and a unique Time of Flight ranging engine, allowing accurate location services to be implemented on wireless sensor networks.
JN5148-001 modules
are a comprehensive wireless solution featuring a JN5148-001 MCU. These
wireless modules
provide high-performance memory, CPU, and radio. All RF components are included. Three module variants are available:
JN5148-001-M00
with an integrated antenna,
JN5148-001-M03
with an antenna connector, and
JN5148-001-M04
with an antenna connector, power amplifier, and LNA for extended range.

NXP Jennic JN5148-EK010 Evaluation Kit
The
NXP Semiconductors Jennic JN5148-EK010 Evaluation Kit
provides a complete environment for the development of JenNet and ZigBee PRO applications based on the
JN5148
wireless microcontroller. The
NXP JN5148-EK010 Evaluation Kit
contains a complete package of hardware and software, including five wireless sensor nodes, an unrestricted software developer kit (SDK), and example code. The SDK provides a complete set of development tools, software libraries, and APIs (application programming interfaces) for programming and controlling the on-chip peripherals of the
JN5148
, configuring and managing the network, and providing data communication. The hardware nodes are pre-programmed out of the box and demonstrate an example home sensor demo that monitors the state if sensors on the wireless nodes and presents this information on the controller node's LCD display. The
NXP Semiconductors JN5148-EK010 Kit
is designed for developing a variety of applications, including smart energy/smart grid, building automation, industrial automation and control, home control, and medical.
