Bluegiga Technologies Bluetooth Low Energy Modules offer all Bluetooth low energy features--radio, stack, profiles, and application space for customer applications--so an external processor is not needed. The modules also provide flexible hardware interfaces to connect sensors, simple user interfaces, or even displays directly to the module. They can be powered directly with a standard 3V coin cell battery or a pair of AAA batteries. In the lowest power sleep mode each module consumes only 400nA and will wake up in few hundred microseconds.
The Bluetooth Low Energy USB Dongle is a single mode USB device enabling Bluetooth low energy connectivity for PCs and other devices having a USB port. The Bluetooth Low Energy USB Dongle can simulate a standard USB device, virtual COM port, or USB HID device.
