ESD Protection Devices (SESD)

The TE Connectivity / Raychem Silicon ESD Protection Devices ( SESD ) protect circuits from ESD events. The 0201 -sized SESD devices are approximately 70% smaller than previous generations. The 0201 devices are available in bi-directional and ultra-low capacitance 0.6picofarad (pF) devices that are suitable for protecting high-speed data lines, such as USB and HDMI , or low-voltage antenna ports, as well as a high-capacitance (12pF) device that can be used for low-speed generic interfaces such as keypads, power buttons, speakers, and microphone ports in portable electronics. Also included in the TE Connectivity / Raychem Silicon ESD Protection Devices line is the 402S device, an ultra-low-capacitance SOD-923 device with 0.5pF typical capacitance for use with digital applications such as USB and HDMI.
