KEMET's T530 Series Polymer Capacitors are Organic Capacitors (KO-CAPs)
that offer high capacitance and high performance capability. The T530
Series Polymer KO-CAPs from KEMET offer the same advantages
as the T520 Series but with higher capacitance (150µF-1500µF), higher
ripple current handling capability, lower ESR range (4mΩ to 40mΩ), and
125ºC maximum operating temperature. The T530 Series Capacitors are

KEMET T496 Series COTS Tantalum Chip Capacitors offer a "fail safe" design, with a patented built in fuse assembly. KEMET T543 Series Polymer Tantalum COTS Capacitors are made of conductive organic polymer, which replaces the traditionally used MnO2 as the cathode plate of the capacitor. This results in very low ESR, improved capacitance retention at high frequency and improved ripple current handling capability. The polymer technology also exhibits a benign failure mode which eliminates the ignition failures. Tantalum polymers may also be operated at voltages up to 90% of rated voltage for part types with rated voltages of ≤ 10 volts and up to 80% of rated voltage for part types > 10 volts with equivalent or better reliability than traditional MnO2 tantalum capacitors operated at 50% of rated voltage. KEMET T550 Polymer Hermetic Seal Series (PHS) is a tantalum capacitor with a Ta anode and Ta2O5 dielectric with a conductive organic polymer that replaces the MnO2 or wet electrolyte traditionally used as the capacitor's cathode plate. The organic polymer characteristic of the T550 Polymer Hermetic Seal Series (PHS) from KEMET results in very low ESR and improved capacitance retention at high frequency and low temperature. The T550 PHS capacitor can be operated at voltages up to 80% of rated voltage with equivalent or better reliability than the traditional MnO2 or wet tantalum capacitors that operated at 50% of rated voltage.
