Intersil ISL78268 55V Synchronous Buck Controller with Integrated 3A Driver is offered as a grade 1, automotive, synchronous buck controller with integrated high/low side MOSFET drivers. ISL78268 supports a wide operating input voltage range of 5V to 55V and up to 60V at VIN when not switching. The integrated driver offers adaptive dead time control and is capable of supplying up to 2A sourcing and 3A sinking current, allowing the ISL78268 to support power stages designed for a wide range of loads, from under 1A to over 25A. ISL78268's fully synchronous architecture enables power conversion with very high efficiency and improved thermal performance over standard buck converters. The ISL78268 also offers diode emulation mode for improved light load efficiency. The ISL78268 supports switching frequencies from 50kHz to 1.1MHz allowing the user the flexibility to trade-off switching frequency and efficiency against the size of external components. Intersil ISL28023 Precision Digital Power Monitors with Margining are bidirectional, high-side and low-side digital current sense and voltage
monitors with a serial interface. ISL28023 monitors power supply current, voltage, and provides the digital results along with calculated power. ISL28023's auxiliary input provides an additional power monitor function. The devices provide tight accuracy of 0.05% for both voltage and current monitoring. The VCC power can either be externally supplied or internally regulated, which allows the ISL28023 to handle a common-mode input voltage range from 0V to 60V. The wide range permits the device to handle telecom, automotive and industrial applications with minimal external circuitry. An 8-bit voltage DAC enables a DC/DC converter output voltage margining. Fault indication includes a bus voltage window and overcurrent fast fault logic indication. Intersil's ISL8240M is a fully-encapsulated step-down switching power supply that can deliver up to 100W output power from a small 17mmx17mm PCB footprint. The two 20A outputs may be used independently or combined to deliver a single output of 40A. Only a few external components are needed to create a very dense and reliable power solution. 1.5% output voltage accuracy, differential remote voltage sensing and fast transient response create a very high-performance power system. Intersil's ISL85003/ISL85003A Synchronous Buck Regulators are synchronous buck regulators with integrated high-side and low-side FET's. The regulator can operate from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V while delivering a very efficient continuous 3A current. This is all delivered in a very compact 4x3mm DFN package. The ISL85003 is designed on Intersil's proprietary fab process that is designed to deliver very low RDS(ON) FET's with an optimized current mode controller wrapped around it. The high-side NFET is designed to have an RDS(ON) of 65mΩ while the low-side NFET is designed to have an RDS(ON) of 45mΩ. With these two FET's, the device delivers very high efficiency power to the load. The ISL85003 can automatically switch between DCM and CCM for light load efficiency in DCM. The switching frequency in CCM is internally set to 500kHz.
Intersil ISL91108 High Efficiency Buck-Boost Regulators are highly-integrated buck-boost switching regulators that accept input voltages either above or below the regulated output voltage. Unlike other buck-boost regulators, ISL91108 automatically transitions between operating modes without significant output disturbance. The devices are capable of delivering up to 2.7A output current (PVIN = 3V, VOUT = 3.3V), and provides excellent efficiency due to its fully synchronous 4-switch architecture. No-load quiescent current of only 27.5μA also optimizes efficiency under light-load conditions. Forced PWM and/or synchronization to an external clock may also be selected for noise sensitive applications. The Intersil ISL91108 High Efficiency Buck-Boost Regulators are designed for standalone applications and support a 3.3V fixed output voltage or variable output voltages with an external resistor divider. Output voltages as low as 1V or as high as 5.2V are supported using an external resistor divider.
Intersil's ISL85403 Synchronous Buck or Boost Buck Converter is an 36V, 2.5A synchronous buck or boost buck controller with a high-side MOSFET and low-side driver integrated. In buck mode, the ISL85403 supports a wide input range of 3V to 36V. In boost-buck mode, the input range can be extended down to 2.5V and output regulation can be maintained when VIN drops below VOUT, enabling sensitive electronics to remain on in low input voltage conditions. The ISL85403 has a flexible selection of operation modes of forced PWM mode and PFM mode. In PFM mode, the quiescent input current is as low as 180μA (AUXVCC connected to VOUT). Intersil's HIP2103 and HIP2104 half bridge drivers are designed for applications using DC motors, three-phase brushless DC motors, or other similar loads. Two inputs (HI and LI) are provided to independently control the high side driver (HO) and the low side driver (LO). Furthermore, the two inputs can be configured to enable/disable the device, thus lowering the number of connections to a microcontroller and lowering costs. The very low IDD bias current in the Sleep Mode prevents battery drain when the device is not in use, thus eliminating the need for an external switch to disconnect the driver from the battery. A fail-safe mechanism is included to improve system reliability and to minimize the possibility of catastrophic bridge failures due to controller malfunction. Internal logic prevents both outputs from turning on simultaneously when HI and LI are both high simultaneously. Dead-time is still required on the rising edge of the HI (or LI) input when the LI (or HI) input transitions low. Integrated pull-down resistors on all of the inputs (LI, HI, VDen and VCen) reduces the need for external resistors. An active low resistance pull-down on the LO output ensures that the low side bridge FET remains off during the Sleep Mode or when VDD is below the undervoltage lockout (UVLO) threshold. The HIP2104 has a 12V linear regulator and a 3.3V linear regulator with separate enable pins. The 12V regulator provides internal bias for VDD and the 3.3V regulator provides bias for an external microcontroller (and/or other low voltage ICs), thus eliminating the need for discrete LDOs or DC/DC converters. The HIP2103 is available in a 3x3mm, 8 Ld TDFN package and the HIP2104 is available in a 4x4mm, 12 Ld DFN package.
